In June, Posidonia welcomed more than 40,000 visitors and 2,000 exhibitors from 138 countries – and V. was proud to be there in force. The highlight of the week for us was our party on 3rd June at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC). The event provided a perfect place for us to catch up in a more relaxed setting with customers and showcase V.Services like Global Marine Travel, ShipSure, V.ERDE, SeaTec, Marcas, ShipMoney and Oceanic. It’s always great to see our teams come together, all driven by one goal to be the industry’s Committed Partner of Progress for Everything at Sea. Read more about our presence at Posidonia on p6 of the July edition of Way Point. https://lnkd.in/eAFxszYT

Earlier this year V.Ships Greece made a donation to the Greek coastguard on the islands of Chios and Oinousses to assist with the repair of one of their vessels. The boat in need of repair was operating between the two islands, patrolling the region and providing emergency services to the local community. In recognition of V.Ships’ support, Central Port Authority Master Commander C.G. Panteleimon F. Vatousis wrote a letter of appreciation to V.Ships Greece MD Costas Kontes, thanking V.Ships for the donation: “With your selfless offer you demonstrate your practical support to the work carried out by the Officers of the Central Port Authority of Chios, guarding the maritime borders of our Country and having as a top priority the establishment of a sense of security to the residents of out border islands. Thanks to your contribution the patrol boat ΠΛΣ-1051 after the end of its repair, will again be in the front line in guarding the maritime borders of our Country and especially the islands of Chios, Oinousses and Psara.” Costas Kontes said: “V.Ships Greece has always been committed to our community at a local, regional and national level and we were happy to help our friends in Chios with repairs to their vessel. We are delighted to see the boat up-and-running and again providing a vital service to the island community.” #CommittedPartner
