  • On 27 May 2024, the Regulator amended the Water and Sewerage Licence​ issued to Tasmanian Water and Sewerage Corporation Pty Ltd (TasWater).
  • On 23 May 2024, the Regulator published the Wholesale Electricity Price (WEP)​ for 2024-25.
  • On 10 May 2024, the Regulator released the Draft Price and Service Plan Guideline Issues Paper for public consultation.  
  • On 2 May 2024, the Regulator completed a review of TasWater's water and sewerage licence and provided a report to the Minister for Primary Industries and Water. The report can be found here.​​

  • ​On 23 January 2024, the Regulator amended the electricity generation licence issued to Hydro‑Electric Corporation​ for the Bass Strait Islands.​

  • On 17 November 2023, the Regulator released its final report from its inquiry into the calculation of regulatory depreciation allowances for TasWater's new assets. The report can be found here​.
  • On 2 November 2023, the Regulator gave notice that an application from Eastern Energy Supply Pty Ltd for the grant of a licence to sell gas by retail was received on 1 November 2023. This notice can be found here.

  • On 28 September 2023, the Regulator published terms of reference for its review of the Guaranteed Service Level Scheme, which requires TasNetworks to make payments to customers on mainland Tasmania that are affected by electricity outages when the frequency or duration of outages experienced by a customer exceeds prescribed thresholds.
  • On 26 September 2023 the Regulator published its Summary Report on the Findings from the Tasmanian Economic Regulator's Inquiry into Bass Island Line's Pricing Policies. The report can be found here.
  • On 22 September 2023 the Regulator published a "Notice of pricing investigation" and commenced a pricing investigation to determine whether the approvals in the current Wholesale Contract Regulatory Instrument remain appropriate, or whether the new approvals should differ from the current approvals. The new approvals will be contained in a new Wholesale Contract Regulatory Instrument. ​Further details are available here​.​
  • On 13 September 2023 the Regulator published revisions to the Preamble and Chapter 4A of the Tasmanian Electricity Code​, effective on that date. The amendments change the generation performance standards for the annual number of system black events and average system restoration times on each of the Bass Strait Islands.

  • On 31 August 2023, the Regulator released its Inquiry into the Level of TasWater's Service Charges Draft Report. The report can be found here​.
  • On 28 August 2023, the Regulator released its Draft Report from its inquiry into the calculation of regulatory depreciation allowances for TasWater's new assets for consultation. ​​The report can be found here​.
  • On 15 August 2023, the Regulator gave notice that an application to renew the gas retail licence issued to Aurora Energy Pty Ltd was received on 14 August 2023. This notice can be found here. ​

  • On 14 July 2023 the Regulator released a Consultation Paper​ and invited​ written submissions on proposed changes to Chapter 4A of the Tasmanian Electricity Code. The amendments change the generation performance standards for the electricity network on the Bass Strait Islands.

  • On 19 April 2023, the Regulator certified​ Tas Gas Networks Pty Ltd as Allocation Agent for the purposes of the Gas Customer Transfer and Reconcilliation Code for a period of five years from 19 July 2023.
  • On 17 April 2023 the Regulator published updated values for Schedule 1 of the Wholesale Contract Regulatory Instrument​.
  • On 13 April 2023 the Regulator published its 2023 Network Reliability Report​ following a review into the reliability of electricity network services in Tasmania over the period 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2022.
  • On 13 April 2023 the Regulator released a Consultation Paper​ and invites written submissions on proposed changes to the Gas Retail Code. The amendments introduce customer hards​hip provisions and protections for customers who are experiencing family violence​.

  • The Regulator amended the electricity generation licence held by ACEN Robbins Island Pty Ltd​, effective 3 March 2023.
  • On 2 March 2023, the Regulator gave notice that an application to renew the gas retail licence issued to Tas Gas Retail Pty Ltd was received on 20 February 2023. This notice can be found here.

  • The Regulator amended the Distribution Powerline Vegetation Management (Chapter 8A) and the Glossary (Chapter 14) of the Tasmanian Electricity Code​. The amendments take effect on 16​ November 2022.
  • The Regulator amended the electricity generation licence held by ACEN Robbins Island Pty Ltd (formerly UPC Robbins Island Pty Ltd), effective 1 November 2022. ​

  • ​The Regulator has issued a notice of intention to conduct a pricing investigation in relation to the electricity Wholesale Contract Regulatory Instrument. The Regulator has also issued a Consultation Pap​er and invites written submissions on the proposals contained within this Paper by 5:00pm on 23 November 2017.   • The Regulator publishes its Typical Electricity Customers 2017 Report.
  • The Regulator amends the Tasmanian Electricity Code to ensure the accurate citing of Regulations and to implement changes to provisions relating to licence fees and voltage performance standards. The amendments take effect from 5 April 2017.

  • The MAIB lodged its preliminary ​submission for the MAIB 2017 Pricing Policies Investigation. Submissions close on 14 March 2017.
  • The Regulator is seeking comment on the matters outlined in the Terms of Reference for the Motor Accidents Insurance Board (MAIB) 2​017 Pricing P​​​olic​ies Investigation, as well as the MAIB's preliminary submission, which is expected to be lodged with the Regulator on 21 February 2017. Submissions close on 14 March 2017.
