​​Taxi Fare Methodology Inquiry

The Government, upon the request of the Transport Commission, may require the Regulator to undertake an inquiry into the appropriate methodologies for setting taxi fares. The report on such inquiries is to be presented to the Transport Commission, with a copy provided to the Government.

Owner-Operator Taxi Licence Reserve Price Investigation

The Taxi and Hire Vehicle Industries Act 2008 requires the Tasmanian Economic Regulator to set reserve prices for Owner-Operator Taxi Licences for each taxi area in Tasmania.

Before the Economic Regulator set these prices, the Taxi and Hire Vehicle Industries Act requires the Economic Regulator to conduct an investigation to gather information to assist the Economic Regulator in setting these prices.
