Ricky Gervais didn’t mince words as he took to social media today to mock influencers with a rather cheeky video. The comedian posted a slightly crude video to his Instagram, where he poked fun at the social media practice in view of his 3.9 million followers.

In the clip, which was simply captioned “influencer”, Ricky could be seen sitting in the bath with a black and white filter on him. Imitating young people who promote lifestyle and well-being on social media, he delivered some of his trademark satire.

“Hi guys, Ricky G here,” The Office creator said mockingly. “Wellness and beauty influencer.

“After a workout and stretch, I like to have a bath, just to chill out. I fill the bath with water - hot and cold - mix it all in, and I sit in it.

“Sometimes I use a facial scrub, a shampoo… even a conditioner.” At this point, Rishi stopped putting on his “chilled out” voice, adding a rather crude aside.
