Kym Marsh's friends 'fear new romance will fizzle out' after she met 'soulmate' while work

Kym Marsh, known for her chain of broken relationships which ended in heartbreak, is said to be in love again. This time, with her co-star Samuel Thomas and friends can't help but feel worried about the romance as they fear it might just 'fizzle out'.

The pair fell for each other while working on the musical '101 Dalmatians.' One of Marsh's confidants shared, "Samuel seems a really nice lad and we are pleased for Kym that shes really happy again. But it is a unique situation when you are working together on a show and spending so much time together.

"The relationship will have to change when the show ends and they have their own lives and new projects to work on. Hopefully, the spark will continue and the relationship will become a long term one. Kym obviously wears her heart on her sleeve and throws herself into romance - here's hoping she doesn't end up getting hurt or that it fizzles out too soon. Unfortunately, she's had more than her fair share of romantic disappointments."

The duo recently marked their relationship as official by exposing their affectionate bond on Instagram with pictures of them locked in a deep kiss. Sharing a sweet capture of the couple together, Kim gushed: "Met the most amazing man ever! Sometimes the most unexpected things happen at the most unexpected times. @samuelthomasuk I love you #beautiful #soulmate #loveyou."

In turn, Samuel expressed his affection on Kym's post: "I love you".

He took their romantic announcement to his social media as well, posting a photo of them: "I didn't expect you, but here you are. I love you", reports the Mirror.

To this romantic post, Kim responded: "Ditto. The best things happen unexpectedly. Love you too."

However, the Mirror has also disclosed how her new beau "put a smile on her face" following the collapse of her third marriage.

A source close to Kym revealed: "She was quite down after the split from Scott Ratcliff and threw herself into her work. She was filming Waterloo Road again while doing a stage tour - and then as luck would have it she met Sam. It started as a friendship but has quickly developed into something more. Kym is sure this relationship is the real deal and is telling anyone who will listen she is in love again."

Kym and Scott initially exchanged vows in October 2021 in a romantic ceremony with 150 guests. They appeared blissfully in love at first, but they separated in May 2023, just 19 months after their 'I do's'.

Speaking about her failed marriage to The Guardian, the soap star described it as 'just experience. '.

Kym Marsh has candidly expressed: "I think I am a risk-taker because 'What if' is always worse."

The star, before marrying Scott, had a series of high-profile relationships with other celebrities. Notably, she was romantically linked to ex-EastEnders actor Jack Ryder after a chance encounter in a BBC canteen.

Sparks flew between Kym and the actor known for playing Jamie Mitchell back in 2001, leading to a whirlwind romance. The couple quickly became an item and exchanged vows at St. Albans parish church in Hertford in 2002.

Their marriage lasted six years before they parted ways in 2008, with their divorce finalised the following year.

Kym's heart was captured once again by another soap opera star, this time Jamie Lomas from Hollyoaks.

Tragically, after falling pregnant within a year, Kym faced a devastating loss when she went into premature labour at 21 weeks due to a condition causing her body to reject the pregnancy, resulting in the death of her son Archie shortly after birth. The couple did, however, welcome a daughter in 2011, got hitched in 2012, but eventually divorced in 2014.

Kym also had a brief relationship with her Coronation Street colleague Oliver Mellor in 2013.
