King Charles is said to be "open to a truce with Prince Harry" after receiving "spiritual nourishment" through key advice, it has been revealed.

The Mail on Sunday has reported that the 75-year-old has drawn comfort from spiritual leaders following the death of his parents and his role as monarch.

The publication shared that the King has spent more time exploring theologies and the teaching of their central tenets - which has led to "spiritual nourishment".

King Charles is now said to be open to rapprochement with Harry, who now resides in California with Meghan Markle and their two children.

The source said: "Faith has always been a part of Charles’s life and something he’s explored, but since becoming King it is playing a more central role.

"That reliance on faith and quiet contemplation has become a comfort and asset to him and helps him cope with the role as he adapts to being King."

The process of healing will mean the King will have to push past very public, and hurtful, comments previously made by his youngest son - including some directed towards his wife, Queen Camilla.

In his bombshell memoir Spare, Harry referred to Camilla as his "wicked stepmother". The 39-year-old also referred to his stepmother as "the other woman" when dwelling on his parents' turbulent marriage.

It has also been widely reported that the King has been pained from not being able to see his two youngest grandchildren - Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.

Speaking of a possible reconciliation with Harry, the source - as per the Mail - said: "Charles misses his son.

"He still loves Harry and wants him back for personal reasons – regardless that he and Meghan do not [want to] return to royal life. Harry will always be Charles’s much-loved son.

"He has faith that Harry could return. He misses the bond they once had, and the door will always remain open to him and his family. He does not want years of discord and disharmony clouding his reign."
