A weather expert has revealed when Britain will be blasted by 30C heat and it’s not that far. For the past many days, several parts of the country are witnessing wet and windy conditions with many eagerly waiting for the summer weather to arrive.

An expert has now suggested that the first heatwave this year might hit the UK by the end of June or early July.

Jim Dale, a weather expert from British Weather Services told Express.co.uk: “Our first heatwave as such is not yet on the map.

“I am thinking of late Jun and early July, but all will depend upon the synoptics (positioning of highs/lows).

“A good part of Europe will endure more heat as we go through June but our little northwest segment remains in a mixed and often cooler zone.

“I would expect 30C to be breached on quite a few occasions here during July and Aug, based mainly on a by then overheated Europe & record Atlantic Ocean temperatures.

“We will not remain immune throughout”

The Met Office’s long-range forecast for the period between June 19 and July 3 reads: “Signals are weak regarding prevailing weather patterns during this period.

“Typical conditions for the UK are most probable, with a mixture of weather types. All areas can expected to see some spells of drier, sunnier weather but there will also be showers or longer spells of rain at times.

“Temperatures are most likely to be close to normal or slightly above.”

BBC forecasts for next week say the plume will lead to "warmer, calmer and slightly drier conditions particularly in the southern areas".

However, it adds: "A renewed build-up of a stronger block of high pressure over Scandinavia could lead to a drier and warmer easterly or south-easterly flow, particularly in the northern and eastern parts of the UK, and wetter conditions further west and south."

Met Office's five-day forecast
