Alex Scott shares plan to have kids as she breaks silence on 'special' Jess Glynne romance

BBC star Alex Scott has finally shed light on her romance with singer Jess Glynne, and her plans to start a family, after initially wanting to keep their relationship private. The 39-year-old had been spotted with the pop star for over a year, with many speculating they were an item.

However, they didn’t make their relationship official to the public until March this year at the Brit Awards. Speaking to The Times, the former football pro explained the reason for wanting to keep their romance under wraps for a while.

She said: “It took us a while because we knew what we have is so special. It has been about trying to protect that and keep that for us in such a way that it continues to be beautiful.”

Over the years, Alex has dated both men and women with her previous relationship, with football star Kelly Smith, lasting eight years. Sadly, they called it a day back in 2013, which left Alex heartbroken.

Since then, the 39-year-old has found happiness with Jess and explained she’s now in the right place in her life for another romance. Alex continued: “I’m spiritual — it was meant to happen when it did when I’m in a place where I’ve worked through so much and am ready to accept love into my life.”

It seems as though the public could see the pair enter a different chapter of their lives together, as Alex has revealed her hopes to have children.

With the BBC star turning 40 later this year, The Times reports that her family and friends are reminding her that her biological clock is ticking.

Admitting she doesn’t put pressure on herself, Alex revealed she’s always wanted to have kids.

Highlighting she knows people who have adopted, it’s made her realise how many ways there are to give love.

She added: “What will be will be, in terms of how I’m supposed to [have children].

“All I know is when I have kids I’ll break those old cycles. I’ll show them so much love, so much emotion.”

In a recent loved-up outing at Cannes Film Festival, Alex wowed in a burgundy dress, which exposed her toned abs.

Accompanying the look with gold earrings, Jess opted for a skintight pink dress with cat-eye eyeshadow to match.

Sharing some behind-the-scenes snaps on her Instagram, it wasn’t long before her followers commented on their relationship.
