Piers Morgan slammed for reaction to Trump’s guilty verdict ‘OK when Clinton did it!’

Piers Morgan furiously ranted against the guilty verdict following Donald Trump’s hush money trial in New York, pointing out former President Bill Clinton was caught in a similar situation.

The controversial businessman and former POTUS was found guilty of falsifying business records to cover up a $130,000 (£102,000) payment to adult actress Stormy Daniels to stay silent about an alleged affair.

He pleaded not guilty to 34 counts, but his sentencing will come on July 11 following the guilty verdict to all felony charges.

On his latest Uncensored show, Morgan pointed out the perceived hypocrisy of Democrat Clinton getting away with another alleged cover-up during his time in office.

“Why is Bill Clinton able to have sex with an American intern in the Oval Office when he’s President, and lie to the American people about it on national television?” he asked.

“And why is he able to pay off Paula Jones $850,000 - four times as much, five times as much - as the Trump payment to Stormy Daniels, to get rid of a sexual harassment claim, again while he’s President?

“And he has no criminal court recourse for that. Why is that deemed to be better than what happened between Trump and Stormy?”

TalkTV guest Francesca Fiorentini frustratedly replied: “I don’t think anyone is making that case, Piers.”

The presenter interrupted: “No, I’m asking you, what’s the difference?”

Fiorentini argued: “The difference is he didn’t cook the books financially using backchannels in order to pay that person off…”

“So, paying somebody off who says they sexually harassed her,” Morgan retorted. “Paying nearly a million dollars while you’re the President of the United States, and then having sex with an intern, in the Oval Office and lying about it - that’s fine because he’s a Democrat!”

Fiorentini was briefly lost for words as she laughed and stammered, “No… look…

“Only the leftists in your mind are making that argument.” Piers was apparently stunned by the argument and replied, “Sorry?”

“I said only the Democrats and the ‘leftist mob’ in your mind are making that argument that your opposing to.”

Fiorentini then went on to make a stunning claim after calling Daniels’ decision to accept the money to stay silent “incredible”.

“If I had the misfortune of sleeping with Donald Trump, no matter what the circumstances. Say I had mad cow and did DMT on an empty stomach.

“If I had the misfortune of sleeping with Donald Trump, there is no amount of money you could pay me to keep quiet about it because I would never tell a single soul.

“I would fake my own death and move to the Galápagos and pretend to be a bird.”
