Emmerdale double exit confirmed as family torn apart over tragic death

Emmerdale viewers will soon bid farewell to not one, but two characters on the ITV serial drama.

Emmerdale spoilers have revealed Nicky Milligan (played by Lewis Cope) is determined to distance himself from his toxic parents Caleb (Will Ash) and Ruby (Beth Cordingly) in scenes yet to air.

He's been struggling with the fact his mother hit Ethan Anderson (Emile John) with his car in an act of revenge.

Just days later, Ethan died and Ruby has been deliberating whether to turn herself into the police station or not, as she feels his death is linked to the hit-and-run.

Ruby is desperate to keep her son on her side and said she'd hand herself in during Thursday's hour-long episode.

When Caleb asked Nicky what his problem was as he's been particularly angry in recent weeks over the situation, he fumed: "You two, like it's always been. You're so sick and twisted, you can't even see it."

The furious villager added: "I wanted to trust you - for once I thought you would do the right thing."

He branded his mother Ruby "weak and pathetic" as Caleb was trying to convince her not to tell the police about her involvement in the hit-and-run.

Moments later, Nicky belted Caleb across the face and told his parents he was "so done with both of you" before storming out of the house.

Will this be the last time he speaks to them on the ITV soap?

In scenes yet to air, Nicky floats the idea of moving away from Emmerdale with his partner Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana).

Emmerdale has confirmed the double exit to Express.co.uk, but will the men leave the village quietly, or go out in dramatic soap style?

Brahmdeo, who joined the soap last year, said ahead of joining the programme: "I’m delighted to join the Emmerdale family. Having watched the show with my mum and dad growing up it feels surreal.

Who are the BBC's highest-paid stars?

1. Gary Lineker - £1,350,000

2. Zoe Ball - £980,000

3. Alan Shearer - £450,000

4. Steve Wright - £450,000

5. Stephen Nolan - £415,000

"I’m so grateful to everyone here for making me feel so welcome. Confident, magnetic and very fashion-conscious Suni looks forward to injecting some flair into the Emmerdale village.

"He’s not afraid to be his true self and go after what (and who) he wants. I think what Emmerdale does brilliantly is making sure there’s an accurate representation of real people and telling their authentic stories.

"Bringing a wonderful character like Suni to life on a continuing drama is incredibly important to me as it gives exposure to a demographic which is sadly still under-represented so I truly hope to do him justice, and thank Emmerdale and its fans for the privilege."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
