England football team continue their Euro 2024 campaign today as Switzerland await in the quarter-final. It’s do or die for Gareth Southgate and his players as they bid for a place in the last four in Germany.
There have been rumours of a radical shake-up in a bid to improve performances. Some reports suggest that Southgate may switch to a 3-4-2-1 formation, with Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham as joint-No 10s.
Marc Guehi is suspended, with Ezri Konsa likely to come into the team for the defender. The possible formation switch could also see Kyle Walker start as a right-sided centre-back.

The Three Lions are among the favourites to win this summer's Euro 2024 tournament and you can get your hands on the brand new Nike home and away kits before the first whistle.
Cody Gakpo celebrates after turning home a cross at the far post to continue his stellar Euro 2024 campaign.
The Netherlands have turned this match around in a matter of minutes as Denzel Dumfries' low cross was bundled in, though could still go down as an own goal.
Spain star Pedri has been ruled out of the remainder of Euro 2024 with an injury he picked up in his side's quarter-final victory over Germany.
The Barcelona midfielder was forced off early in their clash in tears after a challenge by Toni Kroos.
“Following tests carried out on international player Pedri Gonzalez, the Canarian player has a grade 2 internal lateral sprain in his left knee,” read a statement by the Spanish team.
“The footballer will remain with his teammates until the end of the current training camp, which is focused on the Euro 2024 tournament.”
Such a sprain would likely keep Pedri out for approximately a month, ending his campaign prematurely.
Action is now underway inside the Dusseldorf Arena as England and Switzerland battle for a place in the semi-final against either the Netherlands or Turkey.
Phil Foden is likely to operate in a more central role, flanked by wing-backs Bukayo Saka and Kieran Trippier against Switzerland.
"We changed formation to match what they do and get pressure up the field and to try retain the ball,” the Manchester City man told the BBC. “Let's see if it works, I am looking forward to it!
"For me it will be I'll be more centrally and staying inside. I think it will suit me a little bit better today. If we get the formation right and press right it will give us a lot of confidence.
"Extremely confident, we have worked hard and in training it has been working really well - hopefully we can get rewards from it. I feel we want to win for him [Gareth Southgate] and for the big occasion that it is."
Gareth Southgate criticised by player after not being picked
Uncapped Brentford star Rico Henry has criticised Gareth Southgate for not taking him to Euro 2024.
Luke Shaw was the only recognised left-back taken to the tournament, but he has not played in Germany as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury.
Kieran Trippier started on the left of a back four in each of England’s first four games - although Southgate seems set to switch to a back three tonight against Switzerland.
Henry believes he could have made a difference at the tournament.
“It’s been difficult watching England at Euro 2024 playing without an out-and-out left-back because I know I could do a job there," he told Brentford's official website.
"Luke Shaw has been struggling with an injury and we haven’t got any other left-footed full-backs in the squad.
“And, when I’ve watched them this summer, I just feel like I could fit so well into that team. It has been frustrating not being there but it’s also been great to watch, seeing them doing well and getting into the quarter-finals."

Wimbledon fans miss out on England Euro 2024 clash
Wimbledon will continue to not show Euro 2024 on the big screens despite England reaching the quarter-final.
The Three Lions face Switzerland at 5pm today.
But Wimbledon goers will not be able to watch the match as Championships organisers insisted that all the screens should show tennis.
“The big screens will be showing tennis,” the All England Club chair Debbie Jevans said before the Championships.
“All the screens around the grounds will be showing tennis. We’ll only be showing tennis, as matches will be going on into the evenings.
“If England are doing well a few people may slip away to watch football, but the Euros won’t affect attendances. We’ve had record applications, all the hospitality packages have sold out so we’re not nervous. The ballot was oversubscribed and we sold out in record time.”
Luis de la Fuente wanted Toni Kroos sent off in his final game of professional football.
Kroos signed off after Germany were dumped out of Euro 2024 by Spain.
But the Real Madrid star infuriated the Spanish with a tackle on Pedri, which forced the midfielder off.
"I think it was a red card," boss De la Fuente began. "Whether he is on the pitch or off, Pedri will continue to contribute. They are games that are like that, when you are playing so much, at this point, you have to use your whole squad.
"Any of the 26 players are ready. Everyone has their role at the right time. I'm very proud of these players. Tomorrow we are going to recover, and we are going to try to have the largest number of players."
Spain and France will meet in one of the Euro 2024 semi-finals.
Both of their quarter-final ties went to extra-time on Friday, with France needing penalties to overcome Portugal and Cristiano Ronaldo after a drab goalless draw.
Meanwhile, Spain defeated Germany 2-1.
Former Newcastle midfielder Mikel Merino scored in the 119th minute to knock out the hosts.
Mikel Arteta admits ‘tough’ tournament for Arsenal duo
Mikel Arteta admitted that England stars Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka have had ‘tough’ tournaments.
The Three Lions duo have been part of some underwhelming performances under Gareth Southgate.
Arteta said he was delighted for them after England overcame Slovakia.
“[Jude Bellingham’s equaliser] was an unbelievable moment,” Arteta told CBS.
“I was watching it with my boys and my son is a huge fan of Jude Bellingham so he was running and jumping all over the place.
“So glad for the boys [Rice and Saka] because I know it’s been a tough few weeks for them.
“But they showed the character and the resilience that is needed in tournaments to create a moment that hopefully is going to turn a lot of things around.”
