<strong="">Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel and Readiness</strong> <br=""><strong="">Federal Voting Assistance Program</strong>
Mr. Wiedmann serves as the Federal Voting Assistance Program's Director. The program administers the federal responsibilities of the <em="">Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA</em>) for the Secretary of Defense, who is the Presidential designee. The <em="">Act</em> covers the voting rights of all members of the Uniformed Services, Merchant Marine, and their family members, the commissioned corps of the Public Health Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and all U.S. civilian citizens residing outside the United States.
Mr. Wiedmann has been with the Program since 1993.
Mr. Wiedmann began his public service at the U.S. Department of the Treasury working as a Licensing Officer in the Office of Foreign Assets Control. The Office governed transactions with countries sanctioned by the U.S. Government.
Mr. Wiedmann has a Master of Arts in International Business and Bachelor of Science Degrees in Management and Marketing from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.
