Sometimes you can’t wait for inspiration to find you—you have to grab it by the horns and stand in its way. And thankfully, there’s plenty of inspiration to be found in our backyard. Big Com gathered at Birmingham Museum of Art this week for our quarterly team meeting. We sunk our teeth into the freshest work at the agency and got a creative pep talk from Graham Boettcher, R. Hugh Daniel Director at the Birmingham Museum of Art. As we roamed around the thousands of beautiful pieces, we were reminded that every creative act impacts and inspires stories that will outlive us all.

Thinking back on our friend Willie and all the ways he impacted our lives, our city, our world. Rest in peace, Say Hey Kid. As your home team takes over your home field tonight, we hope you’re as proud of your city right now as we all are of you. - - - - - - - Willie Mays shot for the Greater Birmingham Convention & Visitors Bureau “All-Stars” campaign, circa 2000. This photo was taken at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute (BCRI) when Willie was tapped as Grand Marshal for the Magic City Classic parade.
