Cascadia Health Hosts MPox Vaccination Clinic Cascadia is offering the first of two FREE mpox vaccination clinics on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 4-6 p.m., at our Garlington Health Center in NE Portland. ✍️Register: bit.ly/cascadiampox Who Should Get the Vaccine? This vaccine is for people 18 years and older. Anyone can get mpox infection, but some groups may be at higher risk. The vaccine is given in two doses four weeks apart. The mpox vaccine (Jynneos) is available to anyone who is eligible. You do not need to share your personal risk. Our annual Back-to-School Drive was a big hit once again! On Friday at Garlington Health Center, we connected family clients with donated supplies, and we partnered with Rudy's Barbershop to provide free haircuts. Staff in Cascadia's Child & Family and Wellness programs worked together to organize and package generous donations of backpacks, school supplies, shoes, and clothing. Sign-ups: Nearly 100 school-aged kids signed up to pick up a brand new backpack filled with supplies and gently used clothing. 18 kids signed up for a free haircut from Rudy's stylists. Backpacks were donated by iQ Credit Union. Supplies and gently used clothing/shoes were donated from our Amazon Wish List and from community donation boxes at our four health centers.
