We are so proud of Rising Lights Project for the success of their 3rd gala, and we had so much fun dancing and celebrating together! In just 3 years this small but mighty nonprofit’s gala has tripled in size. Congratulations on reaching your fundraising goals and raising 76% over last year’s total.

The Nora Project's Thrive Together Gala took place at Ravinia Festival on May 16, 2024. Over 250 guests enjoyed the beautiful setting, delicious food and an inspiring program. Every dollar raised will allow TNP to promote disability inclusion by empowering educators and engaging students and communities. The program emcee, Ashley Glicken, is a comedian, and the animated voice of Sesame Street character Ameera, an 8-year-old Muppet, representing the 240 million children with disabilities around the world. Guests were also moved by a performance of The New Trier School High Five Choir, made up of students with all abilities. It was a night to remember.

The 3rd Annual Night of Courage: Dragonfly Derby was a night to remember! The team exceeded the fundraising goal to support pediatric cancer patients and their families. From the derby races to dancing to a powerful program with a moving mission moment, it was an incredible evening. We look forward to continuing our impactful work with The Dragonfly Foundation Chicago Team.

We were honored to attend the all-staff meeting of SOS Children's Villages Illinois last week in celebration of staff milestones and for discussion of future initiatives. We enjoyed hearing from CEO Delphine F. Rankin, and we felt very proud to see SOS’s dedicated and driven team in action. It was especially meaningful hearing from DCFS Director Heidi Mueller, as she showed her commitment to the deep, daily work of our foster families in IL. Empowered by the magic of seeing everything come together, we look forward to supporting SOS’s future actions and important changes.
