Ford Intern Culture Day was about connection and building community. Leaders from our employee resource groups (ERGs) talked about their experiences making connections across the company and then hosted a meet-and-greet session. Interns had a chance to meet ERG members and find out more about how they can get involved. Interested in a company that spans the globe but feels like home? Ford Performance CAE intern Amanda Perez’s hands-on experiences add up to more than just a summer job – they’ll help her finish her master’s thesis project in mechanical engineering when she returns to The Ohio State University this fall. Thanks for sharing, Amanda! If you’d like to merge your classroom knowledge with real-world challenges, check out our internship opportunities this fall for 2025! #WeAreFord
Thrilled to share a glimpse of my experience at the Ford simulator in North Carolina! 🚗💨 During my visit, I had the opportunity to dive deep into how the simulator works, exploring different models and their real-world applications. It was fascinating to drive on various tracks, feeling the different cueing and mechanics that made it so realistic. This hands-on experience has sparked new ideas for my thesis project and has been an invaluable part of my internship with Ford Performance. Grateful for these opportunities to learn and grow, and I hope to be back here again one day! #FordPerformance #Engineering #Simulation #Internship #WeAreFord #FordIntern

It’s not every day that Ford of Canada can add “furry friends” to their list of customers served, but thanks to a devoted team of Ford of Canada employees, The Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides (LFCDG) is back in full operation with two new Ford Transit vans! The LFCDG is a national not-for-profit foundation, located in Oakville and Breslau, Ontario, that is dedicated to providing Dog Guides at no cost to Canadians with a wide range of disabilities such as seizures, vision and hearing impairment, diabetes and more. They produce over 100 canine graduates annually. Last year, the Foundation found themselves in desperate need of a new vehicle fleet after their own were beyond repair. They required reliable and wheelchair accessible vehicle transportation to transport their dogs and clients between locations. Available in multiple configurations to meet business needs, the Ford Transit was the perfect fit for Dog Guides, offering sliding doors with easy access to cargo space and capacity for racks, bins, and supplies. When Dana Goodfellow, Ford PRO marketing manager, got the call from a friend sharing the Foundation’s need for new vehicles, she jumped into action. “It took a village to secure these two Ford Transit vans, and I’m so proud of our team for their work to support such a wonderful cause,” said Goodfellow. Working alongside Goodfellow, Andrew Smith, national service operations for Ford of Canada, was a key driver for the success of this initiative. As a dedicated foster parent for the LFCDG, it pained him to see the beat up vans the Foundation was using. When some roadblocks were reached, Andrew took it upon himself to connect with David Nourse at Kennedy Dealership and Bev Goodman, president and CEO of Ford of Canada, who involved Sales and Ford Pro members, Dean Geddes and Greg Watkins. It was a true team effort that enabled them to successfully secure the in-demand Transit vehicles for the LFCDG and the people they help. Paws up for the Ford of Canada team! Hello everyone! My name is Lilyan Toma, and despite being only 19 years old, I am already a senior at Wayne State University. I am currently in an accelerated program where I am pursuing both my bachelor's in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics and a master's in AI Algorithms and Systems. I am on track to graduate in December 2025. I am thrilled to share that I am a #FordIntern with the Cyber Security - Red Team, serving as a Social Media Ambassador. I will be focusing on ethical hacking and learning how to prevent cyber threats by staying ahead of the bad guys! I have thoroughly enjoyed participating in various intern events and meeting wonderful people, two of which are Bill Ford and Jim Farley! One standout experience was attending a Tigers Game, where I had the opportunity to connect with fellow FCGs and interns on a personal level. To top it off, we witnessed an exciting victory for the Tigers - WHOO HOO! Join me on this #InternTuesday as I take the @FordCareers Instagram stories for ride during a #DayintheLife as a Ford Intern.

Ford is trialing AI-powered automated driving technology designed to make the production process more efficient. For the project, vehicles not only drive themselves off the assembly line, they also self-drive to final testing stations and self-charge before parking up ready for delivery to customers. The E-SELF project uses vehicle-to-infrastructure communication to control and monitor vehicles. Antennas and cameras located around the plant can identify hazards in the vehicle’s path, such as a person or another car, and vehicles are slowed or brought to a halt as required. Project leader Laura Heister explains: “We’ve got different test vehicles which are guided by an automated valet parking system which is infrastructure-based. We also have a cobot which plugs in vehicles and charges them up to a certain level. It then disconnects so the vehicle can self-drive to the next station.” Ford is conducting the two-and-a-half-year trial with partners Institute of Automotive Engineering of the Technische Universität Braunschweig and Kopernikus Automotive. The Federal Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection provided €2 million funding. Would you like be part of projects on the cutting edge of technology? Up close with fast cars and the CEO – Shuban Bhatcar, an engineering intern from Purdue University shares his summer so far! #WeAreFord #FordIntern
My first few weeks as a Product Development Intern and Social Media Ambassador at Ford Motor Company have been a great experience. Out of several highlights, there are a few that will be hard for me to forget. Having the opportunity to closely examine Ford Performance’s Mustang GT3 race car was amazing. Most people don’t understand the technological and engineering differences between the cars they see on the street and those designed for the race track. Watching the Mustang GT3, along with many other race cars, navigate the streets of Detroit was an exciting way to spend the weekend. The thrills from races like the one I attended are what initially fueled my passion for the automotive world. On the consumer side, I got to experience the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance. It was an eye-opening experience to see how a company that has achieved over a century of success with ICE cars is using what it has learned to advance the electric vehicle. All i’ll say is that if you are in the market for a new Battery Electric Vehicle, the Mustang Mach-E should certainly be towards the top of your list. I am also thrilled to announce that next week, I will have the opportunity to speak with Ford Motor Company CEO, Jim Farley, about the future of the company's products. Despite only a few weeks passing, there has been lots of excitement. I eagerly anticipate sharing the experiences that the remainder of the summer will bring! #WeAreFord #FordIntern #Ford #FordPerformance

Intern season started two months ago and our interns are deep into their projects, but yesterday they left their laptops behind to attend the just-for-fun Intern Marquee event. We were thrilled to host 240 interns at Newlab Detroit @ Michigan Central to sample local eats, design custom Ford ice-cream creations, get cartoonified by caricature artists, win prizes, and dance until the frunk cooler was empty. Keep up the great work and finish strong! Would you like to be part of the fun in 2025? Keep an eye out in early fall for openings. #WeAreFord #FordIntern
