We love to see our Gray Media television stations working together! Recently, all of our Virginia stations (WHSV in Harrisonburg; WDBJ7 in Roanoke; WWBT NBC 12 in Richmond; 29News WVIR-TV in Charlottesville) got their lead meteorologists together to discuss the ongoing drought in Virginia. The meteorologists also discussed topics like Virginia’s wildfire season, the tropics, and the upcoming fall foliage season. The First Alert Weather Summit showcased the strength and experience Gray Media has across the state. This 30-minute special aired in all four markets. All of the stations said they had a lot of positive viewer feedback. You can watch each segment at the link below.

The linear over-the-air station package will be distributed in 22 Gray Media markets in the states of Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Iowa, and Tennessee and via third-party broadcast partners in markets outside of the Gray footprint. As part of the agreement between The Valley and Gray, the men’s and women’s basketball content will be produced and distributed by Indianapolis-based Tupelo Honey, owned by Gray. “Tupelo Honey and Gray have had a long relationship with The Valley, and we’re excited to help them bring games directly to fans free over-the-air,” said John Servizzi, President of Tupelo Honey. 🫶 The WTVM News Leader 9 "Boxes to Boots" drive was a major success! The station partnered with Navy Federal Credit Union to collect items to build care packages for local soldiers returning from deployment and extended training exercises. The station was proud to beat last year’s number of 150 care packages, with 550 care packages created this year! #GrayProud
