Excited to represent the Greater Des Moines Partnership and join Governor Kim Reynolds, Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig, Iowa Economic Development Authority & Iowa Finance Authority Director Debi Durham, and Iowa agricultural and business leaders on the official Trade Mission to India. Over the next 2 weeks I’m looking forward to meeting business leaders, Indian government officials, participating in roundtables, building lasting relationships with the delegation, and working towards strengthening Iowa’s trade relationship with one of the world’s fastest growing economies. Looking forward to promoting Iowa and #DSMUSA as an investment destination for Indian companies. Great to be headed back to Mumbai, the city in which I was born and lived in for the first 15 years of my life as part of a delegation from the State I’ve called home for almost 30 years. The hotel is right across the street from the home I grew up in, so 45 years later and across the oceans I have literally come full circle. 🤣 Thank you to Iowa Economic Development Authority Amber Rodgers and Kanan Kappelman for all your hard work planning a trip of this magnitude. More fun pics to come and yes there will be documentation of all the delicious foods.
