By raising awareness and building public and political support for the Emperor Seamounts Marine Protected Area, we can ensure the protection of this vital ecological and cultural hotspot for future generations. The involvement of Indigenous Hawaiian allies is crucial in this effort, as their traditional knowledge, cultural practices, and stewardship of the land and sea are integral to effective conservation strategies and climate justice.
