Here’s an exciting progress update on Kent Pet Group’s new production facility! 🚧   🏗️ The foundation work for key structures in the production process like batching, grinding, receiving, and bulk storage is complete.    🌞 Work on the production building foundation is underway and will shift to the warehouse later this summer.    🚀 Steel erection began with the receiving building, and has progressed to the batching building, with the production building starting later in July.    🚜 Excavation is in progress for the track bed, receiving track, and storage spurs.    We’re thrilled to say we’re on schedule, aiming for a late summer/early fall 2025 completion!    #Progress #Production #KentPetGroup

Enjoyed teaching my new Sustainability & Innovation class this semester at St. Ambrose University. Thank you to Dr. Kit Evans-Ford, social entrepreneur from Argrow's House for inspiring my class. Also, thank you to Thu-Trang Pham, Youth Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Officer of the United Nations Development Programme in Viet Nam for sharing about the SDGs. Thank you to Jean Broders and Dr. Elizabeth Flickinger from KENT Pet Group, Inc. for explaining how their sustainable innovation process is used for new product development. Finally, thank you to Rachel Evans and Megan Fox at the Waste Commission of Scott County for a tour of the Recycling facility. And a shout out to these organizations whose sustainability story students shared: Nest Cafe, Bix7, QC MetroLINK, and Megan Tarasi at HNI Corporation.

Members of the KENT Pet Group marketing team took part in a Women Lead Change - Quad Cities Women Workshop on Wednesday — working with speaker Tina Bakehouse, MA to learn about the importance of letting go, noticing more, and using everything at your disposal to drive success. 💪 The team also discussed the importance of "being fully present" and took part in an interactive improv exercise called "Yes and..." — which was meant to show how effective communication can lead connection with others. #WomenLeadChange #KPG #connections

KENT Pet Group's latest Volunteer Day held earlier this month had teammates heading to the Clinton Humane Society in Clinton, IA. In addition to touring the shelter and meeting with staff and volunteers, the KPG team helped clean the Meet & Greet rooms, fold and envelope mailers for an upcoming fundraiser the shelter is hosting, and made cat toys for the shelter's feline residents. 😻 The team also got a chance to meet with the shelter's Director of Operations, Jennifer Gerdes, who said the following about her team's dedication and commitment to cats.
