Cancer is a leading cause of death in the US and China. In China, 4 of the top 10 (by incidence) cancers in China are women’s cancers. In March, the Milken Institute and the US-China Business Council hosted a roundtable in Hong Kong where delegates from the private sector, government, and biomedical research in both countries identified ways to improve outcomes for breast, cervical, and ovarian cancer patients. Milken Institute reposted this
MI Health has been working with employers to accelerate solutions to the concurrent addiction and mental health crises since 2017. We are pleased to see a growing movement among employers that holistically recognizes employees beyond their professional roles. This reflects what MI Health has advocated for from the start: equal prioritization of mental, financial, and physical health through a "whole-person" approach. This series features brief and meaningful insights captured through interviews with executives from a variety of industries and sectors. We hope this series will spark ideas and inspire more leaders to take steps toward implementing #wholepersonhealth for their workforces. Women make up half the population and workforce, yet funding for their health care lags, and conditions that afflict them are often misunderstood and undertreated. While the lack of innovation in women’s health treatments is exacerbated by centuries-old laws, there's a clear path to economic advancement. More from Ashley Simses Campany via ImpactAlpha. https://lnkd.in/gc7GHbez To tackle the challenge, the Milken Institute and our partners are launching the Financing to Advance Innovation on Reproductive Women’s Health Network, or FAIR Women’s Health Network. The FAIR Network is a national women’s reproductive health collaborative accelerator model that matches funders with entrepreneurs. Its central hub is a digitally connected focal governing point, supported by physical regional hubs tailored to individual community needs. #womenshealth #reproductivehealth #healthequity #healthcare
