This 61,600 sf trailer manufacturing facility features twelve 10-ton cranes and 13 overhead doors. NBS designed the loads for the mezzanine, provided the CFR roof systems and the A-Panel walls. The Techo-Bloc showroom and warehouse project is carefully crafted using an innovative design approach that brings together functionality and creativity. A neutral-toned color palette, decorative paneling, and parapet wall polish the exterior and allow architectural detailing to beam. Nucor’s collaboration with Authorized Builder, A.T. Mariani Construction Ltd., and S.J. Lawrence Architect Incorporated was essential to deliver a stunning finished product. This 250,000 sf warehouse and operations center is made up of two structures. The main building utilizes multiple full-height partition walls to separate different service areas, and a mezzanine for office space. 191,000 sf space is allocated for dry storage, including a temperature-controlled storage area and a large viewing platform overlooking the warehouse and disaster services operations. This timelapse video shows the first of two 60,000 sf solar canopies being erected for Bonipak Produce in Santa Maria, California. The spans on this pre-engineered solar support structure are 180’ wide, and no interior supporting columns were required. Utilizing a solar energy generated structure is a cost-effective and sustainable way for agriculturists to power their operations. #PowerShingle #metalconstruction #sustainability #agriculture

NBS-IN recently celebrated Safety Day 2024 at the Waterloo location. Safety Day was a hands-on, fun way to teach a variety of safe practices to our teammates and their families. Teammates attended required training on heat illness, ladder, and fire extinguisher safety. Families were able to participate in plant tours, a car and bike safety clinic, impaired driving, and grill safety, as well as archery tag, hand safety games, remote-controlled cranes, and a virtual reality forklift simulator. Face painting, ice cream, and snow cones rounded out the fun!    #safety

The OMIC Research & Development facility is comprised of four custom metal building systems and includes a large manufacturing floor, ample office space with adjoining classrooms, and a partner collaboration area. This spring, we were able to get the new nets, turf, and screens up, and it all came together nicely — the players love the new cages and are already perfecting their swings.
