Osmoses is proud to be a dedicated supporter of #membrane #societies, and actively contributing to the vibrant community they bring together.    The mission of membrane societies is to advance the synthetic membrane field by fostering the development and dissemination of #knowledge in membrane #science and #technology. They promote collaboration among researchers, technologists, and industry, creating a space where technical and scientific innovation thrives.   At Osmoses, we firmly believe in this mission and its critical role in revolutionizing industries and driving the energy transition. We support membrane societies as catalysts for #global #connections!   Contributing to the 2022 Euromembrane Conference in Italy, and speaking at the Network Young Membranes Meeting were amazing experiences. It provided a fantastic platform for exchanging ideas and building connections that have contributed to the current Osmoses team composition. For the second year in a row, we proudly sponsored the North American Membrane Society (NAMS) Meeting, where our CTO, Holden Lai, gave a keynote on #decarbonization. This year, we are thrilled to support our dedicated team member and community champion, Abaynesh Yihdego Gebreyohannes, Ph.D, Chem. Eng., who is organizing the 4th African Membrane Society International Congress in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We're thrilled to announce that Osmoses is among the winners of the MassVentures START program! Funded by the Commonwealth and managed by MassVentures, the SBIR Targeted Technologies (START) grant program helps startups convert research developed under SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) and STTR (Small Business Technology Transfer) contracts into viable businesses in Massachusetts. Stage 1 of this program has accelerated Osmoses' path from lab bench research to #fabrication, and Stage 2 will support #scale up and #piloting. The START program doesn’t only provide financial support but also offers business guidance, such as  pitch #coaching, #mentoring, and introductions to #investors, to help companies commercialize their technologies. We are excited to be part of this visionary program and the innovative ecosystem it has been helping creating here in #Massachusetts.
