"PRIDE INSIDE" - Out My Closet's annual PRIDE POP-UP SHOP event - celebrated diversity, inclusion, and empowerment within the LGBTQ+ community! We created an event that provided an unparalleled experience of celebration and dignity for our under-resourced and unhoused LGBTQ+ clients. PRIDE INSIDE wasn't just a pop-up shop; it was an immersive experience designed to empower and enrich the lives of our most vulnerable clients. Clients had the chance to "shop" for high-quality clothing, accessories, cosmetics, and personal hygiene products that suited their style, size, and gender identity. Thanks to our generous partner and lead sponsor, Aritzia, for donating all new clothing items! The event also featured high-energy drag entertainers, Pietra Parker and Fonda Koxx, live DJ Eric Abobo, and a snack bar, adding to the festive atmosphere. This year, we expanded PRIDE INSIDE to serve even more clients in a larger venue at the New York City LGBTQ Center and successfully served over a hundred clients. PRIDE INSIDE was a testament to our commitment to the LGBTQ+ community, offering a celebration that emphasized dignity, empowerment, and inclusion. Thank you SEEN Group for providing high-quality cosmetics, personal care items and volunteer staffing support, and AIDS United for providing HIV health educational resources and festive giveaways. #PrideInside #OutMyCloset #LGBTQ #Pride2024 #Empowerment #Inclusion #Diversity #StopHIVtogether #Aritzia #SeenGroup

https://lnkd.in/eJPDmRzS We had an incredible time at our Bar-B-Queer event hosted at @Pridelines! 🌈🍔 We brought together over 40 queer men from different ages, races, and backgrounds for a day of connection and conversation. It was more than just great food—we fed our minds and souls too. Topics like coming out, stigma, hyper-sexualization during Pride, community setbacks, and ways to improve were all on the table. The diversity in our experiences united us, fostering deep discussions and stronger relationships. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this event unforgettable. Let's keep the conversations going and continue building a supportive community. 🏳️🌈💪 #BarBQueer #QueerMensEmpowerment #OutMyCloset #CommunityUnity #Pridelines #LGBTQSupport #MentalHealthMatters #BuildingConnections #PrideMonth2024 Thank You @southernaidscoalition 💪♥️

Congratulations to our Program Assistant on this milestone... we are so proud of you on this day and every day. WOohoo Keep climbing and don't look back.
🎓 Thrilled to announce my official graduation with a BA in International Relations from Florida International University! 🎉 Reflecting on these past few years, it's been an incredible journey of growth, learning, and determination. This achievement is a testament to the non-linear path life can take. When I first immigrated to the US, I faced new learning opportunities and a different education system after having to pause my education in Colombia, where I initially pursued Law School after High School. Looking back now, I smile with gratitude for the diverse experiences that have shaped me profoundly. I take immense pride in graduating Summa Cum Laude while balancing full-time work and active participation in organizations like AIESEC in Miami and Students for Justice in Palestine at FIU. These experiences have deepened my global perspective and honed my leadership skills, preparing me to contribute meaningfully to organizations focused on social impact and community development. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported me throughout this transformative journey. Here's to embracing new beginnings and seizing the exciting opportunities that lie ahead! 🌟 #Graduation2024 #InternationalRelations #Leadership #SocialImpact #Aiesecer
