Congratulations to our latest Colleague of the Month, operating room nurse Julie Thurston, RN! In her role as resource nurse, she is able to provide a wealth of knowledge to her teammates. Meet Dr. Antonio Lassaletta, a board-certified and fellowship-trained thoracic surgeon. As any parent knows, school supplies aren’t inexpensive. To try to help ease the burden, Portsmouth Regional Hospital collected back to school supplies for Families First to share with the families it serves. In just a couple of weeks, we collected boxes and boxes full of supplies to help local students be prepared for a successful school year. The Teddy Bear Clinic is one of our favorite events with The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire, and this year it didn’t disappoint! Our team had a wonderful time talking with the kids and their parents, giving checkups, Band-Aids and even stitches if necessary, to stuffed animals of all kinds to help the kiddos feel a bit more comfortable about going to the doctor.
