To reinforce the importance of security as we race forward to a communications environment dominated by quantum technologies, NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration - has just published “Quantum Communication 101”. This is an educational booklet authored by scientists at Quantinuum and commissioned by NASA’s Space Communications and Navigation (SCaN) team. It is more important than ever that we support education and collaboration in advancing quantum technologies. Quantum Communication 101 aims to be an excellent starting point for a general audience looking to learn about the topic for the first time. It is also a great resource for those who wish to explore in detail the technologies that will make the first quantum networks a reality. Quantinuum has been a leader in this critical area, working diligently with select partners such as Thales to develop practical solutions that protect our critical infrastructure. Read more about the importance of building quantum communication skills in our accompanying blog post: https://lnkd.in/e9kmwP-P The Quantum Communication 101 booklet is freely available here: https://lnkd.in/e5Ng6Gpv

Following the recent global IT outage, business commentators are considering lessons to learn for a far larger threat to cyber-safety: quantum computing. Many recognize quantum computing as a potential future cyber threat, but we should see it as an ally. Quantum computing can be put to many uses, and multiple groups are already harnessing its power to strengthen popular cryptographic systems. Quantum Origin is the leading example of this positive change, enabling the cybersecurity industry to embed unprecedented additional strength into devices and platforms adopting post-quantum cryptography. At Q2B Tokyo, Quantinuum and Microsoft Azure will take the stage to discuss "Accelerating Scientific Discovery through Reliable Quantum Computing” Earlier this year, Microsoft and Quantinuum achieved a groundbreaking advancement in quantum computing with the production of the most reliable logical qubits to date. Leveraging Microsoft’s qubit-virtualization system and Quantinuum’s System Model H2, this collaboration has slashed logical circuit error rates by 800 times compared to physical circuit error rates. Such strides are pivotal in propelling us toward large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computing. During this session on July 25th at 2:20 PM, Naoyuki Isogai, Microsoft Azure’s Global Black Belt Director – HPC/AI, and Nash Palaniswamy, Quantinuum’s Chief Commercial Officer, will discuss the technological innovations driving applications in chemistry and explore how quantum computing intersects with classical technology to enhance efficiency. #QuantumComputing #Q2BTokyo #Microsoft #Quantinuum
