When it comes to breast health, there are individuals who stand out as true heroes. Today, we are shining a spotlight on Michele Sesny, a patient service representative at affiliate Ocean OB/GYN in Ocean, New Jersey. Michele was recently honored as an 'Onsite Hero' for her proactive approach and diligence in scheduling a mammogram that ultimately saved a patient's life from breast cancer. The Onsite Women's Health 'Hero Program' recognizes and rewards the life-saving work performed by our partners' mammography schedulers. When breast cancer is detected, the individual who scheduled the patient’s mammogram is recognized – alongside the technologist – as an Onsite Hero and receives a special certificate and tumbler for his/her first cancer detection in the calendar year. Thanks to Michele’s proactive approach and dedication to breast health, this patient received her mammogram exactly when she needed it most.
