🎓 The ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences has opened registration for the 2024/2025 intake of the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Coffee Excellence in partnership with the Specialty Coffee Association! The CAS in Coffee Excellence is tailored for coffee professionals who aspire to elevate their expertise. The curriculum covers a wide array of topics, exploring the biology, chemistry, and physics of coffee from crop to cup. The ZHAW faculty is composed of leading industry experts and researchers, ensuring that you receive relevant, high-quality education. Participants will benefit from hands-on experimental sessions, interactive lectures, real-world case studies and virtual laboratory days. This holistic approach fosters a deep understanding of the entire coffee value chain. 🥄 At World of Coffee Copenhagen, the SCA launched the next phase of the CVA: three new cupping standards submitted to the SCA's Standards Development Panel for approval, a beta version of the extrinsic assessment, and updates to supporting documents to help you learn how to integrate the CVA into your day-to-day work. Attendees had the opportunity to practice using the CVA in Copenhagen alongside industry experts at various lectures, workshops and activities including a CVA Extrinsic Assessment Activity in the SCA Community Lounge, a panel discussion with CVA Ambassadors on the World Coffee Roasting Championship Stage and a cupping exercise at Green Coffee Connect using diverse coffees from around the globe. It's been a jubilant first day at World of Coffee Copenhagen! ✨The beautiful Bella Center - our home for the next few days - has been transformed into a mammoth bazaar for all things coffee.
