🎉 Celebrating One Year of Leadership with Our CEO! 🎉 This week marks one year with our incredible CEO, Annie Bacci, at TGTHR! Under her leadership, TGTHR has: 〰️ Expanded our behavioral healthcare services by bringing on new therapeutic staff. 〰️ Enrolled TGTHR as a Medicaid provider to better serve youth in our programs. 〰️ Developed a strategic plan reboot focused on staff well-being and capacity. 〰️ Created new opportunities for young people to share their voices in the organization. 〰️ Expanded our reach to new funders across Colorado. In addition, Annie’s leadership has brought renewed focus throughout the organization, which reflects positively on the young people we serve. Cheers to Annie’s first anniversary, and many more to come with our incredible team at TGTHR!

Every single day there are young people who don’t have a safe place to go & need our help. Raise funds to support them & raise awareness of the reality of youth homelessness in our communities! Wilderness Therapy is an incredibly powerful piece of youth programming we are fortunate to offer at TGTHR. Recently, we had a guest speaker from Durango visit our staff to discuss supporting youth with multicultural sensitivity and experiential skills! We're grateful to our many partners in the field so that we can serve young people in the most well-rounded and positive way, giving them opportunities to connect with the outdoors and learn valuable health and fitness lessons!

TGTHR helped hundreds of young people last year, and are on track to help even more in 2024. This includes getting them into stable housing, supporting their mental & physical health, providing counseling to families, and more to help a young person exit homelessness and become independent. We had a 15-year-old show up at our emergency shelter last night. He reported feeling unsafe at home due to excessive violence and substance use. When a minor comes to our door, we never turn them away, but we do need to notify the proper channels and receive consent from their legal guardian to provide services. We complete these steps as quickly as possible and immediately help that youth feel as comfortable as they can in this new environment. Our emergency shelter is vital because had we not been here, this 15-year-old would not have a safe option to turn to. He had already tried staying with a couple of friends, but their families couldn't support him financially. He couldn't go to an adult shelter as he is only 15 (plus that could be incredibly dangerous for him). He reported that he had slept in a nearby park in the past when this has happened, which is clearly an unsafe and unfit environment. We are so grateful that he found The Source and felt safe enough to ask for help. We witness the courage and resilience of youth each and every day in our programs and it's incredibly inspiring!
