Partnerships and CREUnited
At W&D we are dedicated to increasing diversity and inclusion through partnerships with numerous organizations such as: Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) to fight racial and economic disparities by empowering diverse leaders; Project Destined, a platform that trains underserved youth; Future Housing Leaders, a program that connects students to opportunities with DEI focused employers; and CREUnited, which aims to increase minority participation across the entire CRE industry.

In 2022, Walker & Dunlop continued our partnership with NOTA to host our 2nd Annual DEI summit. The half-day event featured expert speakers covering topics around building trust, creating physiological safety, and inclusive leadership. We also partner with communities like Kahilla, a modern women’s resource group, and Forté’s Men as Allies Initiative. In addition, our seven Employee Resource Groups provide similarly identifying employees with the space for community building and unification.

Our goal is to be the DE&I leader in the commercial real estate industry, illustrating the power that diverse and inclusive teams must both drive performance and innovate. Some more specific goals include doubling female and minority representation in management positions and top company earners by 2025 and adding DEI objectives into our 2021 proxy statement to show what we’re focusing on between now and 2025.
