As National Multicultural Donor Awareness Month comes to a close, we highlight Angela Pickney-Hall, a cornea recipient and passionate advocate for organ donation. Her life was transformed by her transplant, and she now works to inspire others with her story. Angela was recently featured on WCSC-TV Live 5 News, where she shared her journey and emphasized the critical need for donation. Yesterday we had the incredible opportunity to partner with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Gewebetransplantation (DGFG) from Germany for a shared presentation on tissue donation. A huge shoutout to the amazing professionals from the German Society for Tissue Transplantation (DGFG)—Sophia Roß, Katarina, Jan Kniese, and Martin Boergel—who joined us and provided valuable insights into how tissue donation is managed in Germany. Thank you Michael Palmisano for coordinating this experience and our teams here at We Are Sharing Hope SC for attending and actively participating in the conversation as we continue to advocate for the lifesaving potential of tissue donation not only in South Carolina but around the globe.
