Thrilled to share that our BT Delaware colleague Wali Rushdan II recently played a pivotal role in commemorating the 70th anniversary of the historic Brown v. Board of Education ruling. Wali participated in a reenactment of Belton v. Gebhart, an integral Delaware case, during an insightful presentation. Way to go Wali for contributing to such a meaningful event!
On May 17, our own Wali Rushdan II participated in a reenactment of Belton v. Gebhart, one of the two Delaware cases consolidated into Brown v. Board of Education, as part of an hour-long presentation to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark ruling. The event also included remarks from retired Superior Court Judge Charles H. Toliver, IV, and a brief reception. From left to right: Wali Rushdan II, Ryan P. Newell, Maame N. BT Delaware Partner Wali Rushdan II, along with several other members of the Delaware State Bar Association (DSBA), recently had the privilege of conducting the "Argue Like a Lawyer" workshop for over 40 enthusiastic 8th-grade students at Bancroft Middle School in Wilmington, Delaware. The workshop aimed to teach the fundamental building blocks of arguing – (i) the argument itself (ii) evidence to support the argument and (iii) anticipation of/preparation for rebuttal. The topic that the student chose to center the workshop on was “Should College Be Free”. It was truly inspiring to witness the students' enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity throughout the session. We are immensely proud to have been part of this experience!
