The New York State Society of CPAs is one of the largest CPA state societies in the nation with approximately 23,000 members. We serve as an advocate and resource for certified public accountants by representing and cultivating the profession's core values of integrity, professionalism, and ethics through educational and networking events, career and professional development initiatives and a strong government affairs program. This past Thursday, the NextGen Committee of the NYSSCPA - Northeast Chapter hosted a fantastic Summer Event at the Tri-City ValleyCats stadium. The evening was filled with baseball, great food, fireworks, and most importantly, networking amongst each other. We look forward to many more successful events like this hosted by the NextGen Committee!

In NYSSCPA Member Appreciation Week, we spotlight members who dedicate their time to their chapter. Steven Lewis, CPA joined the Northeast Chapter’s NextGen Committee and became co-chair of the committee. He shares his passion for the profession by participating in the Career Opportunities in the Accounting Profession (COAP) program and organizing and speaking at high school outreach visits.
