Blackwater Lane is like a classic, Gothic horror. It opens with all the horror elements, but in the last half, the film switches up. There's a harsh reality check. It becomes a whodunit that questions societal issues with mental illness and classism.

This movie is so utterly ridiculous, I can't even believe it got a green light to be made. If you're watching this film and don't guess what's going on right from the beginning, then you and this film deserve each other. Bad storyline. Bad acting. Bad film.
