What are my consumer rights when buying a TV?

If you've bought a new television

If you've purchased a new television from a retailer, you are covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. This means that a product must be as described, or of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If not, you could get your money back.

If you've bought a television second hand

You may have different rights with second hand items depending on where you bought it.

Whether you're looking for a big screen for the living room or a more compact size for the bedroom, we've got you covered in your search for the best TV. Our lab tested reviews will give you the confidence to find your perfect match from top tv brands such as LG, Sony, Phillips, and Samsung.

You may need help knowing which size TV to buy. If you want to create a cinema-like experience in your home, we recommend a 55-inch TV or 65-inch TV. But if space is an issue, a 32 inch TV is perfect for smaller rooms.

We've tested and rated televisions across all price ranges to uncover the top cheap tvs. Plus, we've rounded up the television deals available in the UK sales this month. We've also compared TV vs projector to let you know which of the two is best for your space.

We've also reviewed the latest sound bars which can be used to enhance the audio quality of your television speakers. Some sound bars come with subwoofers for added bass for a more immersive experience.
