I am literally shaking while making this review. I made reservations at this dive bar expecting it to be a GAY DIVE BAR because the name has "haus" in it. When I showed up... that was not the case at all. I still proceeded to go into the bar expecting something but I can tell this bar doesn't have the correct vibe I wanted. I sat down and proceeded to order from the atrocious menu. So many meat items.... Barely no vegan options... this is so embarrassing. I've started to treat myself to a little salad and the table next to me were a bunch of loud and obnoxious men. One whistled at me and I death stared him. I think they thought it was weird that I enjoy eating alone but it is what it is. Very disappointing to know the staff allows that behavior and it shows the "haus" in the title is false and trying to lure LGBTQ+ sales in. The waitress had a bad attitude and kept flirting with the guys next to me. I didn't appreciate her at all. I simply couldn't do it anymore so I asked for my ticket and paid my bill as fast as I can. This was such a humiliating experience and it felt like frat culture. So many trigger warnings at this place and not a single warning was put in place there.
The name "haus" cultural appropriation from gay culture and I really hope this bar considers changing their name because it's quite offensive.

Other than that, please don't go to this place if you're a woman or LGBTQ+. This place only benefits male straight culture and as a woman of color. This is extremely upsetting.

I can't say a bad word for the price!

We got the burger baskets (burger, fries, non-alcoholic drinks) for 2 and a beer for only $11. The burgers tasted good, and better than some of the $7-8 burgers I have had. The fries were thicker and tasted like real potato. We were so full after finishing the food.

We sat outside on the patio. It was very pleasant to enjoy your food and drinks there, except for the cigarette smells that might be caused by fellow clients there. Other than that, it was perfect for me by paying amount of money!

A nice neighbor dive bar! An extensive variety of beers and the food was great! Wait staff was friendly and attentative. We'd definitely come back cuz,so many beers,so little time!

Nice beer bar, fun vibe, great walleye! Good draft beer selection. Open for lunch and dinner (check hours). You will be glad to find this place, less options open downtown than pre pandemic so happy Brewhaus is still here

We were in a hurry and the hostess was able to not only get our food quickly but asked how our day was. We ordered the club and tenders. Fantastic!

A really good dive. While it's hardly good for you, the food is tasty, reasonably priced and comes in generous portions. We sat in a booth toward the front and the waitress checked on us frequently. I went to the restroom, way in the back, and can confirm that I've been in more modern and more pristine places. (I dried my hands with a roll of Bounty paper towels.) On the other hand, I do not think it's in violation of any codes and it didn't make me regret that we stopped by for some really good grub. I'd go back again (but not too often; cholesterol, you know).

5 Stars for the beer selection and the music. Bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly, and Kate, "the Friendliest Waitress" in Spfdl 2010 was working here then, not sure about now. Kate = Great.

Bathrooms are awful. I saw Chris Matthews (Fox) when Obama was in town.

Had reservations to eat here so it was no surprise that they were going to be busy. The people working were very slow and took forever to get us our food. I got chicken tenders and it took them 1.5 hours. The waitress spilt soda down my friend and acted clueless when we said we didn't have our food. I ended up having to ask for a to go box because I was NOT going to be in there any longer! I also saw several times where the food was ready to be taken out and the waitresses were just standing around doing nothing. Very disappointed and would not recommend this place.

Went to this place based on the reviews here. We wanted to find a decent local bar and the supposed wide range of beers appealed to the fiance. We went and we were not impressed. There weren't that many beers. Maybe this is a lot for Springfield, but we're used to Chicago where bars specialize in this kind of thing.

But really where it counted most was that it was hot and humid in there. We were uncomfortable and sweaty. Was the ac broken? No idea, but looking around it seemed like none of the other patrons even noticed the humidity in there, which makes me wonder if it is always like that. Plus the place smelled like mold. Bleck!

We ended up leaving pretty early. We would've stayed longer if it hadn't been so warm and moist in there. We were amazed at the cheapness of the place when we got the bill so we may return when it is a bit cooler out.
