Thanks! Also, is the service quick and polite? I'd like to know two more things, What's the rush hour and is the food "top-notch"?

Definitely recommend a reservation but if you walk in at open there are usually some bar seats available

Do they do walk-ins with no reservation?

Highly anticipated this dining experience at this restaurant, we even made reservations a month in advance which was the recommended thing to do based on yelp reviews!
The service and food were impeccable, 10/10. The pastas was super unique, and unlike anything we had ever had -- thin, soft, and perfectly textured. We ordered their top-selling dishes: tajarin al ragu and tajarin con burro e salvia. So glad to have tried!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jul 30, 2024
I had high hopes for this highly-rated restaurant, especially given the occasion of my 50th birthday. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations.
The patio seating was cramped and cold, and our server's rapid-fire delivery made it difficult to understand the menu. While we ordered a variety of dishes, only the risotto and a small plate stood out. Most of the other dishes were disappointing.
The birthday recognition was minimal, with just a ceramic animal and a tea light candle.
The overall atmosphere and service detracted from what should have been a special occasionHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nelly H.Cambridge, United Kingdom16982296Jul 30, 2024
Spinasse can be quite difficult to book these days! They only had an availability with a decent dinner hour one month later!
Approved by multiple friends as the best pasta restaurant in the area, I came here again two years later to reminisce if it was as good as I remembered.
Starting with a prosciutto board, our server offered to serve a half portion. Continued a primi course of Tajarin which is an egg yolk pasta with butter and sage. Simple and delicate!
The rib-eye Bistecca was cooked medium rare and tender.
Ended our meal with Panna Cotta with nuts. The nuts gave a different texture to the Panna Cotta but I thought it was too crunchy and didn't really pair well.
Still a delicious meal~Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 3, 2024
We arrived on a Sunday around 6:30PM to no wait and was seated immediately! I was surprised because I was not able to get reservations when I checked a week prior (also put myself on the notify list). My coworker had recommended this place so I was looking forward to dining here.
The star of the show was the tajarin con burro e salvia (fine hand-cut egg yolk pasta with cultured butter and sage) -- so simple yet so good and reminiscent of the pasta in Italy, I wanted more! I initially liked the tajarin al ragu (fine hand-cut egg yolk pasta with pork and beef ragù) but slowly got sick of it.
Pasta portion sizes can be compared to a baseball and softball. It may look small when it first comes out, but the full portion is surprisingly big. We were given complementary bread with huge slices, biggest loaf of bread I've gotten at a restaurant. We unfortunately were not able to finish it but it was so good. I regret not using it to soak up the pasta sauce.
Service was great as we were constantly checked in on. I also liked that we were able to see them make the pasta in house.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - Aug 6, 2024
I forgot what I got but it's the one where you get to taste everything on the menu. Overall pretty good. Absolutely loved the portion sizes where you can take some home to enjoy later. Everything was tasty and delicious. Friendly staff.

We have been wanting to dine here for awhile, but reservations are always so hard to find! We booked about a month in advance to finally try Spinasse.
The interior is super romantic and trendy - it feels pretty intimate and cozy. The service was really good - our waitress was very kind and offered good suggestions!
For appetizer, we got the sampler (antipasto misto), which was pretty fun to try 4 different appetizers. I really loved the hazelnut topped artichokes - I usually don't even like artichokes but the flavor was so interesting and hazelnut really complemented the dish well. We also liked the spring peas. The pork one somehow tasted like tuna salad - it was still good but interesting because we were sure it was tuna salad haha
For the mains, we ordered half size of tajarin with butter & sage, half size of truffle risotto, and a full size of tajarin al ragu. That was probably too much food for 2 people oops! Spinasse has the reputation for having the best pasta so our expectations were high. I think both of the tajarins were very good, but they are almost too different from normal pasta that I can't even compare these to other pasta dishes I had. Normally, I like thicker pasta that are cooked al dente. These are egg noodles that are super soft and thin. They are still delicious, but I think if you're expecting traditional pasta, you may be surprised. I'm glad we got a half portion of the butter one because although it was super flavorful and creamy, it's quite heavy and decadent that it might be hard to eat a lot of.
Our server recommended the risotto, and I normally never get the risotto, but decided to try here. I honestly loved it even more than the pasta! The truffle cream sauce and the egg yolk just created a perfectly creamy and umami flavor and the texture of the risotto was also on point!
But honestly the best thing we had here that we keep talking about after months is their olive oil... Pro tip: ask for olive oil when they bring you complimentary bread! They don't bring it unless you ask for it, but when you do ask, they give you a really generous amount of olive oil and that. was. Amazing!! Even though we had so much other food, we had to finish all the bread to soak up that olive oil!
Overall, this is a nice date night restaurant with great food, although definitely on the pricey side! I think you should come here for their unique dishes and not expecting traditional Italian pasta.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 24, 2024
Loved the atmosphere, appetizers, and service but the pasta was a little salty for us.
My husband and I made a 5pm reservation for a Tuesday night. It was pretty empty at the time, which made it more intimate and nice. Love the vibes!
Our host and server were both attentive and friendly. Gave lots of backstory and helpful information about the food.
Food:
+ lemon soda - very refreshing!
+ complimentary crostini was delicious
+ antipasto Misto Della casa - all 4 antipasti made for a great appetizer to share! This was my favorite!
+ complimentary bread and sticks - yum! Served with olive oil
For the pasta - they come in 2 sizes a half order or a full order. My husband and I originally tried ordering two half orders and our server was pretty confident in recommending that we get a full entree per person. So we decided to get a full order of each pasta, because we felt unsure. This was a mistake for us because the pasta was much too rich and salty, we ended up having a good amount left that we couldn't take home with us because we had a movie after dinner. We did our best to finish it but by the end it was just too heavy for us.
+ tajarin con burro - butter and sage. This was recommended as the top favorite and most popular. We were actually the most disappointed with this. The noodles were a little too soft for our liking and the pasta sauce was very heavy and salty.
+ agnolotti - braised Robbie filled pasta with broth was actually very tasty but once again over poured with salt or maybe it was the saltiness of the cheese on top for this one. The texture of the noodle was better for us.
Overall, maybe it's our taste buds that didn't suite this type of Italian pasta. We had high hopes but it fell short for us.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Sep 1, 2024
Upscale Italian date night spot in seattle. Recommend making reservations early though as this place books up pretty far out. Wonderful to bring guests visiting from out of town here too. Recommend all the dishes. Seriously. Service is excellent. Ambiance is romantic and fancy.

The food saves the day. Ah-mazing. The short rib ragu was so hearty and full and the pork beef ragu was so delicate and light. Both amazing, truly!! The bread was bad. Both the soft and hard breads.

Booked here because I saw it on a top 20 restaurant list for Seattle. We got the antipasti sharing one with four items but it was mediocre so I don't remember much from it. For the first course/pasta/risotto we ordered the shrimp risotto and that was the best dish from our dinner. Voted unanimously. We also got the gnocchi and butter thin pasta ( their specialty). The butter pasta was good the first bite but becomes a bit much if you didn't eat it immediately. The full portion is also tiny but maybe enough due to the richness. The gnocchi was not was notable either. I think the issue here is that the pasta dishes taste good the first bite but doesn't make you want to gobble down the whole plate asap and then it just becomes mediocre when you try to finish the dish. We also got the pancetta which was a bit weird. I think it was overall a good experience but lots of misses along with very little hits so maybe I am ordering wrong. Service was great.
