About the Business
Toulouse is centered around the cuisine, décor, and imagery of the French Quarter and New Orleans. Our menu is expansive and ambitious, featuring traditional creole and French Quarter preparations, charcuterie, USDA prime steaks, fresh seafood, and one of the most extensive cold kitchen menus (garde manger) in the country. We believe we offer the greatest dining value found anywhere, which is then coupled with a richly textured decorative experience that was crafted with sincerity and conviction that we were making something of lasting and genuine value. We also serve a Happy Hour menu that we believe is simply the most compelling in the nation. It features more than fifty preparations and is served from 4 pm to 6 pm and from 10 pm to 11:30 pm.

It is a nice restaurant with good food but...
First we had a party of 10 for a graduation/birthday. We arrived early and they got us seated right away. My first problem was when they brought the waters I happened to look in mine and there was a hair stuck on the lemon I topped it with I showed the waitress and she started to make excuses that it was not human it was from the skewer that held the lemon on top. It was a human beard or something. She replaced it with attitude. My wife took a drink of her water then realized there was lipstick all over the rim. I was pretty weary at this point but we started getting our appetizers. All of the food was delicious but then, it came time for dessert and that is when my wife asked for the menu and we were told no because they needed the table. They knew we were celebrating my niece's birthday and college graduation. My wife then looked at her like no, we are not leaving. She said let me ask my manager. She then came back with two menus and said "okay, yeah my manager said you can have more dessert" (my niece got dessert for her birthday and graduation). So we did order the bananas flambé and bread pudding they were great along with all the food until the end of the bread pudding and my sister pulled a 10" hair out of the middle of it. I am giving 3 stars because the food was excellent, but the attitude of the server (she was getting her 20% either way because we were a party of ten) and the cleanliness were unacceptable, if I was rating solely on those things, they'd be getting one star.Helpful 11Thanks 5Love this 2Oh no 6 - Daniel H.San Antonio, TX1319Aug 18, 2024
Ehhh. This place was hyped up to us from some friends. The server was very nice, I just don't think the food was all that. The beignets were a huge miss, like wow. They were not horrible, but if you've ever had real beignets before, these were absolutely not it. To add insult, ours only had powdered sugar on 2 of them lol. The ones underneath were total bare bones. My Bloody Mary was pretty average as well. I ordered the eggs houssarde, which was recommended to me by the server as a staff favorite. I just did not like the sauce at all. My wife had the crispy Tasso cakes, which were actually much better. All in all, the food was not worth the over $100 bill. I think you can find a better brunch spot. In all I can say it was pretty average and I don't think we'll return. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things.

BEST hidden gem in Seattle, literally! Amazing Cajun food and fantastic cocktails the restaurant sits on a corner and the sign is slightly difficult to read but it gives a mysterious vibe. You can find it by looking for giant windows that go almost floor to ceiling Magnificent. Inside it is dimly lit with real flame candles on the walls, behind the bar, and at the tables!
We sat at the bar for an early dinner and cocktails! The Toulouse Seafood Gumbo was incredible. Very large portions. I would definitely recommend sharing and I would definitely recommend to anyone!
I believe the names of the cocktails we had were Vieux Carre and a Sazerac! Both liquor forward cocktails and for people who enjoy sipping dark liquors ! If those aren't for you, they have a large selection of liquor to choose from!
And we ended with the pecan banana foster, which was recommended by the bartender.
If we travel back to Seattle this would be a spot we would return to
Within walking distance of the Seattle Space Needle. All around great place!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - Sep 6, 2023
From the outside, it was busy for Sunday brunch around 1pm. People were waiting outside. But we were able to get seated right away in the bar area. Ambiance was noisy and reminiscent of a darker Cheesecake Factory.
Beignets ($11 for 5) - small but delicious. Only complaint is that I wish it was square shaped so we would get less crisp exterior and more fluff. The Carmel sauce was good, but could've been reduced a little more. it felt more like dipping in runny soup.
Grilled shrimp po boy ($22) - overall the sandwich was dry and flavorless. The garlic aioli for the fries helped a little. But the shrimp was over cooked and dry. The bread was slightly over toasted and made the bread hard.
Lamb burger ($19)- big 1/3 lb patty sandwhich between a ciabatta roll. The roll was slightly burnt in some areas. Good flavor, but would've been nice to have more veggies to balance out the meat and bread.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Dec 31, 2023
My best friend's lives in Seattle and this is her go to spot for brunch. The food is spectacular! I recommend the French toast but honestly everything is good. The service was a little slow when we first sat down but it was kind of busy so I didn't really mind. Perfect spot for brunch and breakfast.

I had such great memories of this place! Ambiance is still nice, but unfortunately the food quality has substantially depreciated, and price does not justify the dishes.
Tldr: we ordered shrimp & grits but it was just shrimp & sauce. I chewed zero grits in this. The gnocci dish had almost no gnocci - they were tiny and few. When we asked the server, she said "they are hiding." We came about an hour before closing, so maybe they didn't have many ingredients left. But if that were the case, they should've communicated and we would've ordered other dishes.
Lastly, the price was not listed for the regular dishes - only the amount for the pre fixe set. So we were pretty surprised to get charged $35 for shrimp + sauce, and $30 for gnocci. Excuse me, how??
Feeling extremely deceived and will not be back. We are sad to have brought a friend here.Helpful 4Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 1Dec 22, 2019Previous reviewAmbience was really nice. Dim lighting, candles everywhere- nice, relaxing music... great date night spot! The gnocchi pasta we had was amazing!!! The meat was perfectly cooked and fell apart nicely. We also got crab ravigote- I didn't know what it was before, but it was delicious

This place looked super promising and we were already planning a future return visit after order - however I guess they were having an off day and we don't intend to return.
- croque madame the sauce was under cooked and gritty with flour; side potatoes served cold / served on a chilled plate.
- French onion soup was kind of watery and had crunchy under cooked onions.
- drink arrived in a kind of dirty glass with white fingerprints / cruft.
Oh well! :-)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 2, 2024
This place is really popular! Before opening, there was already a slight line! We were greeted by the hostess very warmly and the interior of the place reminds me of a cozy tavern.
The service was slow to start with, maybe because of the rush but, we weren't helped until 20 minutes into seating, which is okay because the service got progressively better throughout our meal.
We got the following items:
- Bloody Mary (5/5) it's savory and you can taste the little kick of spice. Presentation was 10/10. I couldn't taste the alcohol but, I definitely felt it a bit.
- French Press Coffee (5/5) we got the small and it was enough for 2 people. It came in a French press so it also crated this nice experience to go with the great tasting coffee.
- Acadiana Benedict (5/5) I loved this!!! If you're a fan of seafood, then I'd recommend this to you in a heartbeat. It had such a nice flavor and I really liked the side potatoes as well. They had a slight Cajun seasoning which I loved!
- Egg Charcutieres' with Rustic Duck and Pistachio Terrine with Veal Shallot Pan Sauce (5/5) my boyfriend is not the biggest fan of duck and he thought it was great! It wasn't too dry and wasn't too rich, and all of the flavors in the dish were complimented well.
- Beignet (4/5) I really love beignets and have been to the cafe du monde in Louisiana. These are just missing that slight crisp that I love on a beignet. The dipping sauce was creamy and had coffee flavors with was a pleasant surprise to pair with!
Overall, loved the food and would definitely come back to try their dinner menu!Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 12, 2024Updated review
I always love getting the fried chicken here! We ordered the dinner special combo and thought it wouldn't be enough food so we ordered another the big easy jambalaya as well, but the dinner combo was more than enough, especially when you order bread for the prawns with red basil and a roasted shallots. I do wish the bread was complimentary though; the butter was really good. I thought the sauce for the prawns was good and my boyfriend thought the gumbo from the cup fried chicken gumbo with house made andouille was even better! I thought the jambalaya was wayy too oily and couldn't enjoy it as much because I was so full. For dessert, we ordered the housemade sorbet of the day which was spiced pear, and my boyfriend said it was the best sorbet he's ever had. The place had nice ambiance as always. Don't let the small portion size mislead you, they're pretty filling!!
Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Feb 19, 2023Previous reviewThe food here is AMAZING! All the dishes were deep in flavor. I honestly wasn't expecting too much from the buttermilk chicken bites because, let's be real, how amazing could it as fried chicken? But it was SO flavorful and paired with the gravy and mashed potatoes so well. The biscuit was soft too. The seafood gumbo was rich in flavorful and did not skimp on food inside. The most disappointing thing was probably the prawns because it just tasted like shrimp. But, the baguette piece the Catalan prawns with chorizo came with was so crispy and just *chef's kiss*. Honestly, the only reason why it's not 5 stars is because the portions were so small. It honestly amazed me how small they were for the price. However, I did leave feeling pretty full with three dishes between two people since they were pretty hefty foods.

This was my first visit, and it was a lovely experience.
I had made a reservation for a late dinner, and the restaurant was about 80% busy.
We were recommended the shrimp and grits dish, we opted for half a dozen Kilpatrick oysters and the Tolouse Market salad.
The server recommended a saving on bland (Sancerre) and all the food was split.
The salad was colorful, flavorful and nutritious. It was the perfect starter for 2 hungry people.
We transitioned to the oysters, which were the perfect amount of rich (not too much, not too little).
Then went on to the main course, which was well balanced and flavorful.
Each bite went well with the recommended wine.
The scenery was well lit, but not bright. The perfect romantic spot.
We had a lovely server that made our dinner super pleasant.
Can't wait to return.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 19, 2024
I've gone to Toulouse Petit for a couple of different occasions and have found that their Brunch menu is my favorite. I had the Shrimp Creole and Eggs over Red Mill Grits and would definitely order that again (and always the Toulouse Beignets!) My friends and I ordered the mimosas, which were okay yet pretty pricey. The servers were friendly and helpful. Make sure to get reservations and expect to pay a little more. Would recommend Toulouse Petit for a cute date night or having a meal with friends. Pretty good ambiance for a work happy hour too.
Note: there's limited parking in the area so make sure to give yourself some city-parking time!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
