Tropisueño

Visited Tropisueño for dinner on a recent trip to San Francisco with my wife. When we arrived we were greeted warmly and quickly seated at a cozy two top table in the main dining area. This place was absolutely packed and the vibe was upbeat. I could tell from the size of the crowd that the food was going to be great.

My wife ordered the vegetable enchiladas and I order the Tampiqueno (Grilled 8 Oz Chile marinated carne asada with a mixed cheese enchilada and ranchera and guacamole). Both entrees were superb. Perfectly cooked carne asada (medium rare) and the accompanying enchilada was amazing. My wife loved her enchiladas as well.

Our service was impeccable and the food was killer good. Highly recommend this spot! Will be back whenever we get back to San Francisco.

Awesome beef & cheese quesadillas
It was my first trial of Mexican food, and if you are a fan of beef&cheese within a flat bread - I would highly recommend this meal.

Heaters outside, chips and guac were delicious and the margs were tasty! All for a good price too!

The service was good but when I pay with my credit card I told the server that I will tip in cash and he tipped his self 20% And I talk to the manager about it he don't do nothing .! be careful everybody don't trust.!

Amazing food, even better service, and one of the best margaritas ever. Did I mention the service?! Please go, you will not regret it!

happy hour is 4-6pm, but when we got there 5:50, the server said last call for happy hour was 5:45. all the food we ordered was super delicious and flavorful. the tortillas for the tacos were a little too soggy and broke very easily though. the taco portions were good and had a lot of meat, but the ceviche portions were smaller than i expected.

I came here for lunch on a weekend with a party of 2 (that became 3). They had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating but the weather was so good we wanted to sit outside.

They have an entire separate line for people who want a quick lunch instead of sit down service. I got the complete chicken enchilada combo and my friend got a grilled shrimp salad. We also got some chips and salsa to share. The portions were pretty decent for the price. There was some mix up with avocado vs guacamole but the server quickly resolved the issue. My friend got their margarita as well and said it was good.

Would recommend for some good Mexican food!

So glad they are still downtown serving delicious food and drinks. They are near Yerba Buena, the Contemporary Jewish Museum and the Metreon.
Went on a Monday with a friend. Indoor and outdoor seating. Not too crowded when we arrived, but people started showing up as the evening went. Helps that the SF Marriott Marquis is in the same building.
I ordered a taco and enchilada which were great and the right amount. Shared the Tres Leches cake which was also good.
Staff was nice and we didn't feel rushed. It is a little dark, but if you sit by a window or outside, your fine. Will be going back again.

Chill place to hangout after work, there's a happy hour when we went between 4-6 pm where their margarita was only 6$ each, I feel like they put a decent amount of alcohol in it

They also have other dishes during happy hour, we got the nachos, pretty worth it

The pollo asado was pretty good, big portions, super full afterwards

Damn, that was a great happy hour! We grabbed the last two seats at the bar and immediately ordered margaritas and the chips and salsa. The orange salsa was totally fabulous and the chips were crispy and so yummy! The marg was excellent. How can you go wrong?
