Samsung Monday announced the Galaxy F55 5G, positioning it in the fast growing entry-premium segment, featuring a vegan leather finish alongside segment-leading features such as an AMOLED display, 45W fast charging, and the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor.

The company has promised four generations of Android upgrades and five years of security updates, ensuring users can enjoy the latest features and enhanced security for years to come.

The Galaxy F55 5G features a 50 MP (OIS) No Shake Camera to shoot high-resolution and shake-free videos and photos, alongside an 8 MP ultrawide camera and a 50 MP front camera.

The smartphone is priced at Rs 24,999 including bank discounts and will be available on Flipkart and over 10,000 retail stores across the country.

Commenting on the launch, Raju Pullan, senior vice president, MX business at Samsung said the smartphone will be showcased at experience centers for customers to get a touch-and-feel experience. The device will also be offered under the company's own financing program, Samsung Finance+.

The executive added that customers are increasingly buying into the company's ecosystem products like the smartwatch and fitness bands. As a result, Samsung is offering its latest fitness band at a discounted price as a bundled offer.

The smartphone also brings onboard a few AI features present in its flagship offerings, such as the object eraser in photos, and other camera optimisations.
