    The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE)-Advanced results were released Sunday morning, with Ved Lahoti from the IIT Delhi zone achieving the top rank by scoring 355 out of 360 marks. Out of the 48,248 candidates who qualified for admission to the IITs, 7,964 are female.

    IIT Madras, which conducted the exam this year, announced that Dwija Dharmeshkumar Patel from the IIT Bombay zone is the highest-ranked female candidate, securing 322 out of 360 marks and placing 7th overall in India.

    The other candidates in the top 10 are: Aditya (IIT Delhi zone), Bhogalpalli Sandesh (IIT Madras zone), Rhythm Kedia (IIT Roorkee zone), Putti Kushal Kumar (IIT Madras zone), Rajdeep Mishra (IIT Bombay zone), Koduri Tejeswar (IIT Madras zone), Dhruvi Hemant Doshi (IIT Bombay zone), and Alladabona SSDB Sidhvik Suhas (IIT Madras zone).

    JEE-Main serves as the qualifying exam for JEE-Advanced and is required for admission to engineering colleges nationwide.
