Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who is currently shooting for his upcoming film 'Raksha Bandha', was hit with nostalgia as the actor filmed a scene in Delhi's Chandni Chowk, his birthplace.

The actor stepped out in Delhi's Chandni Chowk for a morning run when his memories were refreshed of the early days. "Today's morning run on the sets of 'Raksha Bandhan' brought back so many memories,' the 'Housefull' star said.

Kumar started shooting for the film, which is being directed by film-maker Aanand L Raial in Delhi on Sunday, two months after the team finished the Mumbai schedule. The 54-year-old actor took to Twitter to share a glimpse from film's set.

"... brought back so many memories as it was in my birthplace, Chandni Chowk. And how lovely it was to hear the chatter of the people around, never gets old," Kumar wrote in the post.

The last time Kumar was in Delhi was in August when he had arrived in the Capital to launch his film 'BellBottom's trailer. While the star is in Delhi, his son and wife, Twinkle Khanna and Aarav are in London, enjoying some family time away from hot Mumbai weather.

Twinkle even took to her official Instagram account to share a picture with her son.

In another post, Twinkle and Aarav are seen lost in figuring out the jigsaw puzzle which Akshay Kumar's son apparently bought for his little sister Nitara.

'Raksha Bandhan' also stars Bhumi Pednekar and tells the story which celebrates relationships. The movie also features actors Sadia Khateeb, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna and Smrithi Srikanth in the role of Kumar's sisters.

The film is produced by Colour Yellow Productions, Zee Studios, Alka Hiranandani in association with Cape Of Good Films. It will hit the theatres in August 11, 2022.
