After 30-plus years with fashion giant Hermes, Christophe Goineau, creative director of Men’s Silk, knows a thing or two about mixing it up and finding inspiration. Giving a men’s fashion magazine a sneak peek at his music playlist recently, Goineau mentioned how he likes to switch between genres.

“In my 20s, I was listening to newwave and electro but I like to mix it up now, so I don’t listen to one particular genre,” he said. “When I’m working, I listen to funky, disco music, something that’s happy, simple and what makes me feel good.”

However, one artist that does make it to Goineau’s playlist regularly is Indian tabla maestro Zakir Hussain. He loves listening to the artist so much, he keeps a recording of Hussain on his desk.
