    American tech giant Google officially revealed its latest generation of smartphones, the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, along with the new Watch 2 at the 'Made by Google 2023' event on Wednesday.

    Sleek Design & 'Super Actua' Displays: Pixel 8 and 8 Pro

    The Pixel 8 series introduces a sleeker design with rounder corners and flatter displays, offering an aesthetic upgrade from previous models. The Pixel 8 features a vibrant 6.2-inch 'Actua Display' with a 90 Hz refresh rate, ensuring smoother scrolling and gaming experiences.

    Meanwhile, the Pixel 8 Pro boasts a larger 6.7-inch display supporting a dynamic 1-120 Hz refresh rate, setting new standards in visual performance. While the Pixel 8 starts at $699 (Rs 75,999) and the Pixel 8 Pro is priced at $999 (Rs 1,06,999).

    Under the hood, both devices are powered by Google's in-house Tensor G3 chip, emphasising the company's focus on AI and machine learning. This advanced chipset enables Google to leverage AI capabilities, especially in the realm of photography.

    Both phones feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 10.5-MP selfie camera. The Pixel 8 includes a 12-MP ultrawide lens, while the 8 Pro packs a 48-MP ultrawide lens and a 48-MP telephoto lens with an impressive 30x zoom.

    Introducing Pixel Watch 2

    Google also introduced the Pixel Watch 2, a feature-packed smartwatch that integrates cutting-edge health-tracking features. It introduces stress-tracking functionality, utilising data like heart rate variability and skin temperature to identify moments of tension and recommend healthy coping mechanisms, such as walks or guided breathing exercises.

    The device also enhances heart rate tracking and workout detection, maintaining a commendable 24-hour battery life with its always-on display.
    The Pixel Watch 2 is priced starting at $349 (approx. Rs 29,000).
