An unusual visiting card says a lot about your personality. One look at Bibop G Gresta’s card and your attention is drawn to his designation. While he’s the chairman of the US-based Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT), he prefers the nomenclature ‘chief Bibop officer’.

Quiz him about what the role entails, and he asks in an amused tone, “You don’t see the Bibop in me?” Gresta, whose actual name is Gabriele, says the term is open to interpretation. Bibop is a music genre, which Gresta says, disrupted jazz. “I would exaggerate saying, every single variation of modern music started from there. And that’s what I am trying to do with transportation. I am ‘Biboping’ the transportation,” he explains. We’re definitely tapping our foot for that disruption to unfold.
