In a recent interview on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, Bollywood actress and dancer Nora Fatehi candidly discussed the mistreatment she has faced in the entertainment industry, particularly from male superstars. She revealed instances of bullying, humiliation, and negativity directed towards her, shedding light on the challenges she encounters as a strong and outspoken woman in the industry.

Nora Fatehi Speaks Out: Industry Bullying and Mistreatment

Fatehi expressed her frustration with the behaviour of certain individuals, stating, “They’ll say things behind your back, and you’ll get to know what they said, and they have that entitlement of being bullies. Nobody will call them out.” Despite facing such disrespect, she credits her resilience to being perceived as intimidating and unpredictable.

The actress highlighted the resistance she faces for not conforming to submissive stereotypes expected by some male stars, explaining, “Some people don’t get it, they think, ‘How come her? Why not our girl?’ So much of that happens, and they get so angry, and also, a lot of them don’t like my directness.”

Fatehi emphasized that she refuses to give anyone power over her and remains true to her authentic self. “If I feel something is off, I’ll say it. But some people don’t like that. Some people prefer girls who are quiet, submissive, someone who looks like they need the work. I don’t give that power to anybody,” she asserted.

Nora's Refusal To Be A Victim

Regarding the negativity aimed at her, Fatehi stated, “They start to bully you, demean you, talk bad things about you…” Despite these challenges, she maintains a strong stance and is unapologetically open about her experiences. “People say s**t about me all the time,” she remarked.

Fatehi’s friends are amazed by her ability to navigate the industry without falling prey to exploitation. She attributes this to her intimidating personality, stating, “Luckily, I’ve not had that situation, and I know why… These people, whether they’re stars or not, at the end of the day are predators.”

On the professional front, Nora Fatehi has been actively involved in the film industry from a young age, showcasing her talent in recent projects like Vidyut Jamwal’s 'Crakk' and Kunal Khemu’s directorial debut, 'Madgaon Express.'
