    One man, many languages: This journalist reports Russia-Ukraine crisis in 6 different languages, video goes viral

    The Russia-Ukraine conflict is keeping the world on the edge. Newsfeeds are flushed with extensive reportage with all kinds of experts making their way into TV debates and commentaries.

    In all of the ongoing conundrum, a journalist's exceptional ability to convey information in six different languages during the live telecast is winning the internet.

    Known as a ‘man of many tongues’ Philip Crowther who works as a reporter with the Associated Press has impressed viewers from all over the world.

    The 41-year-old journo shared a mashup video of his news broadcasts from Kyiv, Ukraine. He can be seen speaking about the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Luxembourgish.
    Crowther’s tweet went viral garnering over 31k retweets, 178k likes, and 16k quote tweets.

    Charmed by his extraordinary linguistic abilities, netizens hailed the journalist for his commentary and work.

    “Jealous AF, I can only do three unless you count Latin,” said one user, while another tweeted, “Damn polyglot! Kudos and thanks for reporting! Impressive,”. Another Twitter user said, “Oh my God is this man married?? If he’s not where can I submit my application?”

    Noted language learning app DuoLingo too commented on the post saying, “And the owl was too stunned to speak.”

    Crowther was born in Luxembourg to a German mother and British father. He was fluent in Luxembourgish, German, English and French from a very young age. At 14, Crowther began learning Spanish out of his admiration for football.

    He also learned Catalan and while studying at King’s College London, he learned Portuguese and graduated in Hispanic Studies. Crowther also holds a postgraduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism from The London College of Communication.

    Before coming to the US in 2011, Crowther reportedly worked as an anchor at France 24 in Paris. Crowther has extensively covered the revolution in Libya and events in Ghana, Angola, South Africa, Germany, and the UK.
