    Mahindra had announced that he would felicitate Chopra and Antil with a customised Mahindra XUV 700 after their Tokyo Olympic victories, which created a lot of chatter online.
    Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra fulfilled his promise to gold medalists Neeraj Chopra and Sumit Antil by gifting them two brand new customised cars. Earlier, Mahindra had announced that he would felicitate Chopra and Antil with a customised Mahindra XUV 700 after their Tokyo Olympic victories, which created a lot of chatter online.

    Chopra created history by throwing 87.02 metres in his first attempt but bettered his record in the second essay with a distance of 87.58m in the mega event to bag the gold at Tokyo Olympics for India. On the other hand, Antil very comprehensively won gold in the men's javelin throw (Sport Class F64). He dominated the show from the word go as he bettered the World Record three times in the final. He threw a monstrous throw of 68.55m in his fifth attempt to climb on the top of the podium.

    The 66-year-old billionaire was closely following the Olympics in Tokyo and often took to his Twitter handle to cheer for our athletes. So when Chopra made history by bagging the first gold medal in the men's javelin throw, the businessman was quick to join his "army". "We’re all in your army, Baahubali," Mahindra had tweeted praising Chopra after his Olympics win along with a photo showing the Olympian and 'Baahubali' star leading an army.

    A Twitter user had responded on Mahindra's post, asking for an XUV700 for the athlete, to which the Mahindra and Mahindra has agreed with "yes".

    Showing his gratitude, Chopra took to his official Twitter account to thank Mahindra for his new set of wheels, a customised Mahindra XUV 700 with 87.58 (Chopra's Olympics throw) imprinted on it.

    "Thank you @anandmahindra Ji for the new set of wheels with some very special customisation! I'm looking forward to taking the car out for a spin very soon," he wrote.

    Antil, Tokyo Paralympics gold medallist, also received his 'golden javelin' edition of Mahindra XUV 700.

    "Thank you so much @anandmahindra sir for the beast My first SUV car and its XUV700 Golden javelin edition This will surely motivate me to do even more better in future. JAI HIND,"Antil tweeted. He also thanked Mahindra's team for being so sensitive and responsible towards him and explaining everything to his satisfaction.
