Sonakshi Sinha, who recently tied the knot with Zaheer Iqbal, has addressed the swirling pregnancy rumors with a dose of humor. The couple, who got married on June 23 after dating for seven years, sparked speculation when they were spotted at a Mumbai hospital shortly after their wedding.

In an interview with Times Now, Sonakshi spoke candidly about her life post-marriage and the unfounded rumors. "Life has never been better," she said. "The beauty of it is I am feeling pretty much the same. I am happy that my life was so set before the wedding, and I am back at it. I am very happy to be back to work."

However, addressing the pregnancy rumors, she added with a laugh, "The only change is ab hum hospital nahi ja sakte, kyunki jaisi hi aap niklo, logo ko lagta hai ki aap pregnant ho. (The only change is that I can't go to the hospital now because as soon as I step out, people think I'm pregnant)."

The Real Reason Behind Hospital Visit

The couple's visit to the hospital was actually to see Sonakshi's father, Shatrughan Sinha, who had been admitted for a routine checkup due to a fever. Her brother, Luv Sinha, clarified, "My father had a strong fever and we decided to take him to the hospital so that he could recover and we could have his yearly tests done as well. There was no surgical procedure."

Shatrughan Sinha later reassured his fans on social media, sharing pictures from the hospital and confirming he was fine.

    A Private Wedding Ceremony

Sonakshi and Zaheer's wedding was an intimate affair attended by close family, friends, and colleagues from the film industry. They later hosted a reception at Bastian.

Sharing their wedding photos on Instagram, the couple wrote, "On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each others eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs... leading up to this moment... where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods... we are now man and wife. Here's to love, hope and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever."

Rumors also circulated about Sonakshi’s brother, Kussh Sinha, being upset and not attending the wedding. However, in an interview with News18 Showsha, Kussh debunked these claims, stating, "I have already seen people publishing inaccurate information. It started with an article in a leading portal that had a quote by an unnamed source. I am not sure who’s doing all this right now and where it’s coming from. But a few houses have my images [from the night]."

    Sonakshi Sinha’s Upcoming Projects

Sonakshi Sinha is keeping busy with her professional commitments. She recently starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Heeramandi' and will next be seen in the horror-comedy 'Kakuda,' alongside Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem. 'Kakuda' is set to premiere on ZEE5 on July 12th.
