After nearly two years of keeping fans waiting, the trailer for the fourth season of the incredibly popular television series ‘The Boys’, is finally here! Prime Video’s hit series has been renewed for a fourth season, and we can’t wait! Starring Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T Usher, and Laz Alonso, the satire superhero TV series is an adaptation of Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s eponymous best-selling comic!

The trailer opens with Urban’s Billy Butcher on a mission to bring down the ‘Supes’ before succumbing to the life-threatening effects of the Temp V compound. The trailer also sees Homelander creating a brand new Seven team and embarking on a bloody rampage in order to win his Presidential election.

    Will Billy Butcher Die?

Due to Butcher’s ongoing health problems arising from his addiction to Temp V, there have been rumours that he may not live for long. The trailer also hints at Butcher's deteriorating health, with the confirmation in the season 3 finale that he has only a year to a year and a half left to live. Speculation has arisen regarding how the series will address the possible death of one of its main characters, with some suggesting that a more faithful adaptation of the comics might involve Butcher taking the actual Compound V and gaining regenerative powers.

Another significant revelation from The Boys season 4 trailer is the clear indication of its deep ties to Gen V, with the appearances of Asa German's Sam and Maddie Phillips' Cate. These characters were last witnessed in the Gen V season 1 finale orchestrating an assault on non-Supe students. Homelander intervened to prevent further harm to Cate by Marie, leading to Sam and Cate being celebrated as the ‘Guardians of Godolkin’ by the media.

The first episodes of The Boys Season 4 will premiere on June 13 on Amazon Prime Video.
